Today is another edition of What’s In the Candy Bowl At Sandy’s Office. Tuesday we discussed Tootsie Roll Fruit Chews and today we are discussing Bullseyes. Friends….let me tell you how much our patients love these. The first thing several people do is go to that bowl and eat one right away, eat one when they are leaving and put 2 or 3 in their pocket. If they don’t eat one right when they get in the door, they’ll put some in their pocket right away. These candies disappear so fast - it’s unreal. I used to keep Ghirardelli squares in my store for my customers, and the bullseyes are more popular than that. We are happy to make our patients happy and that’s what it’s all about. So now I’m curious if you love these candies as much as our patients. But first, here’s a little blurb about them….

That brand is not the only one that makes these, so we’re not talking about that brand, just about the candy regardless what company makes them. The ones we buy are Old Mill and we buy them at Menards. So tell us today what your thoughts are on this candy. Give us your chewy creamy answer today…..

Have you ever had bullseye candy?
If yes….what is your opinion on this caramel cream treat?
(multiple choice)

For Me……I like these, but only when they are fresh out of the bag. After they’ve sat around for a couple days they aren’t as soft. They’re still good, just not the way I like them. I don’t eat them very often at work, because I try to not eat any candy during the day.

They're OK. I've bought them, but not for myself. A couple of the guys at DH's Lodge really like them, so he puts them in the candy jar there when we can find them. (I don't think they're super popular here, so it's kind of lucky when we do.)

We don't have these in the UK and can't say I've ever seen or heard of these when I've been in the States. Caramels aren't something I'd usually go for.

Had more when younger. I like them but never go out of my way to have one. I don't buy them, I might have one if offered. While I love caramel, I usually stick with chocolate/caramel/nut based candy.

My mom used to hide a package of these creams in her nightstand drawer. Every once in a while, I would sneak in and take one. They were very good. :) I haven't had one since I was a kid. But they were good.

Love them because they remind me of my childhood. Grew up in Boston and the corner store had a large penny candy display. Every day my mother would give me 0.12 to buy her daily newspaper… the Globe, of course… and a nickel to spend. Always got a little bag filled with my favorites!

If I’m going with a caramel, it’s a bag of Werther’s caramels- will eat the whole bag in one sitting. I don’t eat too many chewy candies however, because I have paid my fair share of dental work and don’t want to rip out a crown or filling.

Loved, loved them as a kid so many years ago. Back then they came in a sleeve of 5, not individually wrapped, for a nickel. I'd get them at the little local neighborhood grocery store a couple times a week. I've not had them in many years now. Great memories though.

I’ve seen them in stores but don’t think I’ve ever had one. I like Werther’s caramels.

They're great! I haven't had one in like forever though. It seems like you don't really see them around anymore.

I'm sure I've seen them at some point, maybe in a mix of halloween candy. I don't think I've ever eaten one. I'm not into much chewy candy.

I like them but won't go out of my way to but them. Mostly have them if my wife picks some up.
