I don’t like picnics for the same reasons most others mentioned. Too many flies and bees and it’s a lot of work. Our last picnic was probably 4-5 years ago and we bought subs and ate at the local park.

Define picnic.

spreading blanket and sitting on ground eating......not in forever Although as kids we would pack up half the house like we were leaving forever to walk the one block to the park behind the library. Lay out the food, games, and books and put on airs like we were waiting for the Queen . Eat our PB sandwiches, get bored and go home.

church picnic at park with tables and chairs and food and volleyball and bees, once a year.

eating food while watching grandkids play sports, several times a year

eating outdoors on the porch with tables and chairs, often

We "picnic" a lot in the summer, typically packing a cold supper to take to the local community concerts once a week. Occasionally we'll buy from a farmer's market vendor or food truck instead of packing it. Our folding chairs have little tables on the side so we use that, but many folks sit at some picnic tables in the park.

I think the last picnic we went on was my wife's family reunion over 30+ years ago.

Not a picnic fan, for starters they are mostly outside and that's a deal breaker for me.

I LIKE them. The biggest hassle is flies and BEES.
I live close to the shores of Lake Michigan and I smile whenever I see families and friends having a picnic breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's a beautiful scenario!
Right now, picnic time is pretty much overFOR ME because the WASPS are in full blown attack mode!

On nice days when I’m watching the grandchildren I will take them to the playground and pack our lunches. We sit on picnic tables not the ground so I’m not sure if it’s a true picnic although they call it one!!

God willing one day when we feel comfortable being in a group or crowd again, a picnic of sorts would be fun. Dad and I each have insulated lunch bags that I would for sure use on any longer outing. Not up to a traditional sitting on the ground picnic anymore, please give me a real chair :)

I do have good memories pre pandemic of talking with kids at church camps that I worked and volunteered at, while on snack time. We sometimes did sit at picnic type tables outdoors.
