With my up coming trip (no polls next week), I naturally have travel on my mind. One thing that many of us pack is shampoo and conditioner, but then again, many of us don’t and use what the hotel provides. Some hotels have pretty nice products, where others are pretty cheap & generic. Are you willing to take the chance on hotel products? Let us know today……

Do you use hotel shampoo & conditioner?
If yes……how often?
(multiple choice)

For Me……..Yes, I will use the hotel shampoo & conditioner. Truth be told, I only wash my hair twice a week, and that’s to get the product out of my hair, not because it’s greasy. So, on a vacation, I use no product in my hair and all I need to do is rinse it with water and let it air dry. If I do need to wash it once, I’ll just use the hotel product, and at Disney, I know it’s a good product 🙂👍🏻

I frequently use what the hotel supplies, especially at Disney. The body wash and lotion too. It saves a lot of trouble if I'm trying to only pack carry-on bags

Nope - I never use hotel shampoo and conditioner. I wash my hair every night and don’t use conditioner or blow dry it…I just sleep with my hair wet..but in truth, it’s so fine that it dries in like 5 minutes.

I use the hotel most of the time - it’s about the scents with me - if I like it I use it if I don’t I use my own - since I’m usually at Disney I like it !!! Hyatt not so much on their shampoo but like body wash

Most hotel shampoo does not work for me. I always use Head & Shoulders to keep dandruff at bay and I prefer 2-1 and not separate conditioner.

I use the ones at Disney parks and cruises.
I pack the Disney tubes I have from many years of having them and take them to other places.
Last cruise was so long, I didn't pack my own. Hated the smell of the shampoo they had and the liquid soap made both mine and DH's hands break out.

Yep, I use the shampoo and conditioner as well as any other products they supply. That's body wash, lotion, etc. I drive down so could easily bring my own but why bother. I have very short hair (think a tad longer than Jaimie Lee Curtis) so it really doesn't matter what I use. I do tend have issues with soaps and lotions because my skin thinks it's delicate but I have never had any issues with any hotel's body wash or lotion. I don't use the face soap but I don't use soap on my face at home either. I have a scrub I use at home but when I'm at a hotel I just use a wash cloth and water (I don't wear make up). If I'm staying somewhere they don't provide lotion (Disney values and moderates except CSR) I have a whole tub of travel size one's I've brought home over the years from other hotels.

Side bar - I also always use the hair dryer provided. Even when I was younger and had think hair almost to my waist, it might have taken a tad longer if I wanted to dry it all the way but push comes to shove, I could always put it up in a high pony tail and braid it. I'm very low maintenance.

I prefer to use my own, but on a short trip I might just use the hotel stuff. Though that bit me when I went to Sicily last summer. The hotel only had a combo body wash and shampoo and no conditioner. That combined with all the volcanic dust in the air had my hair a dried out mess.

I use what the hotel provides. I like Swan/Dolphin stuff. No conditioner.

I use what the hotel offers. I used to bring along all that stuff but as I get older I'm finding I like being less & less high maintenance with my packing!
I never leave home without the leave-in conditioner I use though :duck:

I'm always in favor of packing as light as I can, so my regular products stay home and I use whatever the hotel provides.

I wash my hair daily.
I take extra conditioner because some hotels don't give it or not enough. But I do use what is provided.

My decision to bring S/C is based on a few things:
1) which suitcase am I bringing , carry-on or larger
2) how long am I traveling
3) am I flying

If It's a long weekend trip, probably not packing
If it's a week or more, probably packing
If I'm checking my luggage, probably packing

I wash my hair almost everyday. I will also bring my mousse and some hairspray.
When at WDW I'll wear a baseball style hat everyday so styling it isn't as much of a concern, LOL!
