🦃🍁 It’s Thanksgiving Week in America 🍁🦃
Theres a lot of foods that are served on Thanksgiving that everyone enjoys around the world. So, even though my polls are about Thanksgiving week, everyone should still be able to answer them.

How do you enjoy your Thanksgiving turkey prepared?
Are you preparing it or are you a guest and eating it?
If you’re a guest…is your favorite way the way your host is preparing the turkey?
(multiple choice)

For Me……My favorite way is fried. My DH actually makes a whole turkey in the turkey fryer and a turkey breast in the oven. Oven roasted is good, but fried is REALLY good. He only uses the turkey fryer on Thanksgiving, so it’s a real treat :goodvibes

Same ole way in the oven drowned in butter & chicken stock in a Turkey bag after it’s been in my special brine for two days - I LOVE turkey !!!

I put the turkey in the oven breast side down. The breast is cradled in the roasting rack and the back and thighs are up. I've been roasting it this way for quite a few years now and it makes the white meat nice and juicy. It also thoroughly cooks the dark meat. It doesn't give you the nice, brown turkey breast that some people like. but that doesn't matter to us. We carve the turkey in the kitchen where the guests can't see what it looks like. :)

I also make a vegan turkey-style meatless roast from Quorn for the few vegetarians in the group.

The host of our Thanksgiving roasts it, and that's my favorite way so far.

I except I'd also like it fried.

I am a guest and the host makes it oven-roasted. I don’t think I’ve ever had it fried or smoked.

I don’t like hot turkey meat. My favorite preparation is leftover cold turkey for sandwiches. She usually offers leftover turkey for sandwiches, so I’ll likely have that on Friday.

My aunt roasts it in the oven. I'm not sure what she puts on the skin before it goes in, but it is *really* good.

Oven. We will go to family on Thursday, where she roasts in oven. And then I will cook a full T-day meal on Friday so that we can feast on leftovers all weekend/I can send some back to school with my oldest.

Air Roasted\Air Fried in the Air Fryer. The large toaster oven size Air Fryers work well for a small Turkey.

I do like to fry the turkey, but it just needs too much oil and its just a hassle to deal with.

Going to Vince's for Thanksgiving. He will most likely make 2 birds with any 2 of 3 choices, oven roasted, deep fried and smoked. I prefer his fried and roasted. But they will be 2 of the 3.

If I'm making a whole turkey I prefer to dry brine it and roast it spatchcocked. Everything cooks evenly, quickly and comes out juicy.

The last couple of years we've just done a turkey breast because we like white meat. Ina Garten's herb-roasted turkey breast recipe is awesome:

I’m not bothering with a turkey this year since there’s only going to be the 2 of us. Otherwise I always roast one. This year I’m just making tator tot casserole with ground turkey which is the way I always make it.

My mom roasts a mean turkey, but I am responsible for picking it out. I have exacting standards. In fact, on Saturday I was out early hunting for a good one. I had found one that was close to perfect, but i thad no tag and they couldn;t figure out how to sell it to me (really?). Anyway, I left frustrated, but dfound an even more perfect turkey at another store! For anyone wondering, I'm not just looking for size, but also the shape. You don't want one that is all lopsided - symmetry is the key to a beautiful and delicious turkey!
