Slinky EMH or Bon Voyage Breakfast?

Our trip is coming up in about a week, and we were not able to get slinky FPs. We did, however, get an ADR for the Bon Voyage breakfast we have been wanting to try at 7:45am on our HS day. I am somewhat torn because my kids really want both Slinky and Bon Voyage, but EMH would probably be the shortest standby wait for Slinky. On the other hand, I heard Slinky is better at night and am wondering if we could pop over after the 9pm Fantasmic! and if the lines would not be too bad then because everyone else would be going to get a spot for the 10pm Star Wars fireworks. Votes, anyone?

Will your kids be able to hang all the way from a 7:45am breakfast through to waiting in line for a rollercoaster at 9:30pmish?

They've been letting people into the Slinky EMH early, and the restaurant is only a 30 minute walk from the park. Easy WDW just did a TSL EMH and was able to ride SDD twice by 7:06am.

Could you plan to be at HS at 6:15 to be at the front of the pack for Slinky, then book it over to Trattoria?

I would say to rope drop SDD at 7 and then go to breakfast at Trattoria. It usually only takes us about ten minutes from the front of HS to BW but it might be a few minutes longer with the new walking route.

I agree with posters above, SDD EMH and then Trattoria! We *loved* the breakfast at Trattoria, great character interaction and the food was delicious. Breakfast is offered all the way up until noon many days, so maybe you would get lucky with rescheduling breakfast?SDD is fantastic at night, so if everyone is up for it you can add that on too.

I should have clarified -- the reason I only gave those two options I considered going to SDD first, but we never get our kids up earlier than their regular wake time of between 6:30/7am. Since we right next door at BC, that would mean we can easily get to breakfast at trattoria by 7:30/7:45, or HS around the same time, but getting up for a 6:15 arrival at TSL is not the cards for us. There are no other times available for Trattoria any day of our trip, although I have been checking daily.

In that case I'd do the Trattoria breakfast. Crowds won't be too crazy mid-August, and the SDD lines have been very manageable. We waited in standby 3 times during our trip mid-July at various points of the day/evening, usually around 45 minutes. The Play Disney Parks app is super fun and makes the wait in SDD go by very quickly. The app is interactive, so multiple people can play from the same device.

Do you have hoppers? Could you do HS Emh another day before going to your main park?

If you can't get there until 7:30/45 anyway, you're still looking at a 30+ minute line during emh. I'd do trattoria.

Wow, that is awesome—45 minutes is much shorter than I expected. That is definitely a manageable wait, and we do have the play app.

Sadly this is our first time without hoppers and we have just one day per park. Good to know the EMH is not a huge advantage, which make me feel better about skipping it.
