Right now I’m only planning for attractions that are primarily outside during my early September trip. I’ve ridden the two Star Wars rides and don’t mind missing either and MMRR just doesn’t feel worth it for me right now. How are the Slinky Dog waits first thing?

Thanks!

Based on the couple YouTube vids I've watched and watching MDE wait times, I'd wager a guess that you'd be on and off in under 30min throughout most of the day. Based on yesterday only (I didn't look first thing this AM), most rope droppers were consumed with getting the VQ for RotR and then filling the MMRR line to capacity. In September, who knows. I'll be there the first week of September though and am curious about all of it as well. Not stressing as we have 3 HS reservations during our stay.

We waited about 40 minutes for SDD yesterday.

On Thursday the wait was posted as 45 minutes and I waited about 25 for that ride. After about 6 pm the park kind of cleared out and most things were a walk on with the exception of MMRR which was maybe a 20 minute actual wait. If rope drop is crazy you can wait to knock out the longer lines in the later afternoon/evening. With Slinky Dog just keep weather in mind because it will close due to lightning. I went to the passholder preview for MK on June 9, Epcot the 15 and HS 16 and every park had a pattern of overstated wait times.

In Epcot for example Soarin was posted as 45 minutes and it was a walk-on, living with the land 20 and also a walk on. Test Track was posted as 60 minutes and that was maybe 5-10 minutes although it was at the end of the day after being closed due to technical issues and rain most of the afternoon. MMRR posted as 75 minutes, actual wait about 30. Midway Mania 25 minutes and it was a walk-on, too many examples to name just be aware that wait times tend to not be accurate.

It was a walk-on yesterday afternoon. Within like 20-25 min, we rode it twice and Alien SS once.

If you do not need to go on ROTR , then it's way better to get there later and stay till closing. Like a PP mentioned the waits really diminish after 4pm and a lot of rides are walk on.
