Today was our 60 day window until check in and no Slinky fast passes available oct 3, thats 63 days out! I went right in at 7, what are the possbilities? I guess people could have longer hotel stays and get it that way...

So were going to do the rope drop run of the bulls. How long will Hollywood studios be opening at 7am ? Thanks.

I was also on right as it turned 7 am. We are staying for 10 nights and none of our days had slinky passes available. My guess is that we will have to rope drop it.

Something must have been wrong, because they are regularly available from 60+4 on. I would try again, especially if that was less than 6 days ago.

MDE has been really goofy lately so it could be just glitchy. I’ll keep trying but will be prepared to rope drop like it’s Black Friday.

No idea how long DHS will open at 7. I thought I would share my recent rope drop experience with you.

We just returned from WDW yesterday. We were able to get SDD FP for our trip, but not until our last day. It was a 5 day trip. We wanted to do AS too so one day we arrived at DHS about 6:50. My plan was to get there at 6:30, but it just didn't work out.

t wasn't that bad really. It wasn't really crowded until around 8:30-9. There were plenty of people, but it wasn't too bad until then. We signed my 8 year old up for JTA and went to TSL so we didn't even head straight there. There was no line for JTA so it didn't take long. DH and my girls immediately got in line for SDD and waited about 35 min. The wait was posted at 50 min. We have child who is too short for SDD so we used RS, which is kind of off to the side and in my opinion works better than the other rides that have it right at the entry point. While my husband and kids were on SDD, I took our little one on TSM with no wait and then we just walked around TSL a bit. After my DH and girls got off SDD, we did AS with about a 15 min wait. I think the posted time was 20 min. Then the girls and I used the RS for SDD. While I was using the RS, DH mobile ordered food at Woody's lunchbox for breakfast. It was after 8:15 by then, and lines were starting to build. TSM which had been a walk on for me earlier was now posted at a 45 min wait. We ate and then we had a FP for TSM 8:15-9:15, which we used and then left TSL. It honestly worked better than I expected.

I tried for that date on Tuesday which was 60 +5. The only option was late afternoon. So I picked the alien saucers. I’ve been checking everyday but no luck yet. I did get the time I wanted on the 6th though.

Wow the TLAs are killing me ;)

Ok so am I hearing that folks are actually BOOKING fast passes before the 60 day window, or are just checking them to see what is available once they are at 60 days?

Confused in Canada

Keep trying. MDE, for me at least, has been glitchier than usual lately. When looking for FP for something I'd see nothing, refresh it and see lots, refresh again it says distribution done, refresh again it's there, refresh again it says the whole PARK is done with distribution. Keep trying, you can find one. Especially if you are still 60+ days out.

If you are staying at a WDW hotel you can book your FP at 60 days before your stay, PLUS book FP for the length of your stay. For instance, I arrive on August 17 and we go to HS on August 22. On June 18 (60 days before August 17) I was able to book FP for August 22 (so, 65 days before we go to HS). You can not see FP availability on MDE before your FP booking window opens (there are third parties that offer this but they're not always the most accurate).

I booked my FP today as well.

My HS day is +5 (friday) and i was there right at 7am to book it. I got an evening FP which is what i wanted to ride at night, but immediately after i tried to move it back 15 mins and all FP were gone!

I noticed FOP were still available (evening) 2 days prior to this!

Never thought Slinky Dog would be this popular !

Helpful, thank you. If you are doing WL for 5 then OKW for 7, are they considered separate or could you book at 60 days for the entire 12 day vacation? All of the accomodation reservations are on the MDE app.

:scratchin:scratchin:scratchinOh snap! My 60+12 opens up in September.
I was under the impression that I’d need to be super focused to get FOP. These sleeper hits from TSL are gonna give me a run for my money!

Y’all think the popularity might die down for SDD soon? I mean, c’mon, is it really THAT good? :scratchin

I wrote about this in another thread, we ended up not needing our SDD passes (we used them anyway because it's awesome), if you arrive at RD (EMH if it's that morning), you won't have any problem. It loads a lot of people, it's not like Flight of Passage, we arrived at 5 past park open one day, stopped for breakfast and coffee at the Starbucks and ambled back to TSL, we finished our drinks as we walked on, waited maybe ten minutes, then did Saucers and TSM before the park was open an hour. Another morning SDD was not running but we got in line and rode it within ten minutes of it coming back up, waiting about 35 minutes total. If it's really important to you one early morning should solve your woes.

It's better after dark!

I've heard that! We are going to try to get there pre-rope drop to get in two rides. But it's the morning after MNSSHP, so we'll see if my seven-year-old makes it. It's a surprise trip with just DH, him, and me (the teenagers aren't coming on this trip). He told us yesterday that he dreamed about riding SDD. And he still has NO idea we have a trip planned! I'm so excited for him!

If you can go during EMH, I don't think you'll have a problem. I was there just the other day with the 7am EMH opening. I got in line for SDD at 7:45 with a posted time of 40 minutes and it only took 20-25 minutes. And it was moving the whole time so it felt pretty quick.

I have a split stay in October.....oct 2-6 with my bffs and Oct 6-10 with hubby. My 60 day window opened up an hour ago. I really thought I would have to wait to book dh and my trip on tuesday but I was able to book FPs for all 8 days this morning. This was helpful for the second half of the trip because I was able to get all the FPs at the times I wanted....not so much with the first part of the trip with my gal pals. :( I am encouraged, though, hearing about being able to RD SDD. I wonder how lucky we will be rope dropping FOP (which had NO FPs available)! Perhaps having 7 of us in our party doesn't help matters?

I expect it's in part a capacity issue. Guests/hour is probably higher on FoP so Slinky has less passes available.
