I teach a Disney class at my LSS. The idea of the class it to make Disney page elements without using the things that are licensed Disney. I thought I would work up something using those slide holders so many people are using these days. So far I have come up with nothing useable. Any thoughts or ideas?

I just bought a bunch for the hopefully soon holiday Christmas swap!
I think they are great little things!
You could make them easily into mini shaker boxes. COver with glitter and add a cute disney saying and maybe some beads as the shakers.
or don't make them shaker but just neat disney saying and decorate the outside Disney style
Of how about this. Lets see if I can describe it...
Decorate the bottom half of a slide red top white then put 2 yellow buttons on it (mickey's pants) then do the same with a DOnald duck theme and pooh...

There was an article in one of the scrapbook magazines fairly recently about ways to use slide mounts. I can't remember a whole lot of the suggestions off the top of my head - I'll go look for the mag in a little while - but the ones I remember include making shaker boxes and using them as mini frames.

Thank-you or your replies.

Robin, I saw the article in CK and that is what gave me the idea to try to come up with something for the Disney class using slide holders.

Spinning, I like the Mickey pants idea. I might try to work that out.

The only one thing that I have come up with that might be usable is one of those movie clappers made of black card stock and the slide holder mounted in the center. I did something similar. I used a group shot and wrote in the center "Everybody neat and pretty. Then on with the show". ( Mickey Mouse Club).

ToDisney, Your pages are awesome.

Ok I have another one! I went to a make and take it yesterday and they took a slide, well made one out of paper. Then used double stick tape (clear pink stuff) covered it with beads...It was so pretty and would look great on a Disney page. YOu could maybe put some Mickey head confetti punch on first and then cover it with clear beads. Or just cover it with colorful DIsney beads/glitter

What about making it into a "television" - an old fashioned one with legs and rabbit ears antena. Then on the "screen" (in the middle) you could have it say The Wonderful World of Disney or something like that.
