Slide closure at CR. any info need quick info please.

I saw a post here that a few reported the slide at CR has been closed for a while while being refurbed. Can anyone that maybe has just returned advise? I have been looking online but havent found anything yet on this. I just called the resort too and they were not aware of it. I just booked a suprise 1 night stay for our boys but if its closed that defeats the purpose. They want the slide, I understand the pool and splash area are open.
We will be there in about 2 weeks and I may look at changing resorts if so.
