Slide at OKW??? Info please

I have been off the board for awhile (6 months) and logged in today and saw the thread about a slide at OKW. What gives as the thread was really thin on details. I guess it will be by the main pool but what are they going to take out to make it and how big is it. For the sake of my 4 and 7 YO I hope they don't get rid of the sand box area. We will not be going this year due to my better half having number 4 in July so it was banking we go.

Will take the tip the following summer as the new boy will be one and will have plenty of points for the 2BR for 10 days or a GV for 7 days. Anyway what info do any of you have about the slide?

Details have not been forthcoming from DVD reqarding the design of the slide, except that it is planned at the main pool near the Turtle Crawl area of the resort. The pool was announced at the annual meeting in December, but that is the only "official" word anyone has actually received.

And it does seem rather odd that although they announced it at the meeting, there's been nothing sent to anyone, nor have there been any plans shown. We saw pictures of SSR LONG before it was available. Yet, we know nothing of what this slide will look like. Although they didn't announce a timetable at the annual meeting (that I remember), someone said that it's supposed to go ahead in the fall.

It does seem odd, but frankly it doesn't surprise me. I mean they have decided unilaterally to put this slide in without any clear and obvious input from the OKW membership, why would they feel compelled to show us anything? The whole way that they are handling this makes me think that they don't care about the membership's opinion. I am expecting them to just install it with a like it or lump it attitude and then up the dues to cover the maintenance costs unceremoniously.
