Sleeping with the crew

Just booked a last minute 4 night to celebrate DD high school graduation next month. We've stayed on decks 2 and 6 in the past and find ourselves with cabin 1047 this time around. Any thoughts on cabins on deck 1? My daughters are, of course, thrilled to be sleeping with the crew.
We never take the elevator, in order to eat whatever we want without gaining extra pounds. I was secretly hoping for higher than deck 2 - oh, well. Bring on dessert and a nice Bellini....

Actually, most crew cabins are on decks below deck 1. A few crew have cabins on Deck 1 but that was only because of overcrowding in the crew quarters.

We have stayed on Deck 1 and we loved the location. Very convenient to get on and off the ship in ports (except Port Canaveral where you get on and off on Deck 3) and at Castaway Cay. The rooms were very quiet. The only thing different on deck 1 is that the cabins have two smaller portholes instead of the one large porthole on Deck 2. Wait...is 1047 an inside cabin...then the portholes really won't matter!! We had cabins 1042, 44, 48, 50, 52 on our last Feb trip and everyone loved the location.

We loved the location and would not hesitate to stay there again.

I love you people who write such enticing subject lines. Come on Buckaroos Dad, where is your comeback? He really shouldn't be provoked!

Bring on dessert and a nice Bellini

With a little luck a "nice Bellini" will BRING you dessert...

Samsma - lol! I decided not to point out the obvious, but thank you for the vote of confidence.

Okay the enticing subject line was too much for me to ignore.... Big John comes to mind????

Uh let's see... Sasha #2 from Croatia? Hunkahunkaburninlove...

Is this supposed to be a 'fantasy' type question or do you only want factual examples?

I think this thread has been hyjacked by the gutter-dwellers:jester: :p

yup - you can add me to the gutter-dwellers
gotta make sure i dont have too many konk koolers and end up "sleeping with the crew"

I believe that some of the officers have cabins on deck 1 but u r not able to get to the cabins from the common folk hallways ...
and good luck on sleeping with the crew..... maybe u could ask when u get to port and see if another location has become avaliable...

DAD- I guess I underestimated you, sorry. After all it took you a full 21 min. after me to respond. Or maybe you just weren't logged in yet! Pot calling the kettle black, huh?

Hey, it got me to read this thread.

Okay, who's gonna start the "What cast member would you most like to sleep with" thread? :p

Just returned from 3/30 cruise and stateroom #1047. Found it to be very convenient to everything. Right around corner from mid-ship elevators. Very quiet deck-easy access to everything and very little hallway traffic. Just as happy there as other times on 5 and 6. Hope we left the room in good order for you.

ADMDis,
Thanks so much for the info. And I appreciate the fact that you took good care of my temporary home. I suppose there isn't a truly bad cabin or location on the ship.
And I have immensely enjoyed everyone's interpretations/ suggestions etc... for this post.
My fantasy list would be extensive (and probably unDisly-like).

I do not think that kind of thread would be appropriate for a family board like this......but I could think of few without much trouble!!!

C'mon you guys! Get your minds out of the gutter so mine can get by!! :p :p :p

Samsma...I agree with you. I always am waiting for Buckaroos Dads responses.

Buckaroos Dad, Where in NY do you live?
