We are flying to disney in 2 weeks. This may sound strange to many but does anyone bring their own sleeping bags or pillows? If so how do you carry them or bring them down their? If not how about your own sheets or pillow cases?
I just have this ocd thing about hotel beds, I guess bad experiences in the past.

There's no way I could especially if I flew because of the bag limits now.

I used to bring my own pillow for comfort but after leaving it there twice I quit doing that.

I never pack my own bedding when I fly. If you want to do that, you can, but you will be paying thru the nose for extra baggage. Most airlines charge $15 for your first bag and $25 for your second, each way. Packing bedding for everyone will put you over your luggage allowance fast. Have you thought about maybe shipping it down if you really have to have it? It will still cost you some, but not as much as trying to check it, I'm thinking.

I have never brought my own linens but, when we drive we all usually have 1 of our own pillows. When we fly we don't bring pillows.

Now, my husbands grandmother is another story!
She is 90 years old and doesn't venture out much anymore but my DH told me that when he was a child the family would make multiple trips down the shore (aka, going to the beach for those of you who don't live in NJ) each year. On every single trip his grandmother would bring ALL of her own linens, pillows, blankets and towels. She never used the items in the hotels. It's not like the hotels were dirty or anything (she would have freaked out if the rooms weren't spotless) and every day she made the beds etc before they left. He said when they left the room everyday it looked like the maid service had already been there. Oh and she would left the maid staff know that the linens, towels etc were hers and that they were not too be touched!

You can purchase (or make) sleep sacks to use with the hotel bed linens - fold a flat kingsized sheet in half, sew across the bottom and halfway up the side.

Are you thinking everyone in your family needs one, or just you? For one person, it would be easy to just pack an extra sheet, but for a family of four, no way!

I don't bring my own linens but I do pack my pillow.:thumbsup2 I usually put my pillow in my carryon bag so I am comfortable on the flight...especially long flights.
