Hi all, a newbie question.
can 5 adults stay in a one bedroom villa, say at the Beach Club Resort villas? Would like to rent points for a one bedroom but we have five adults that need to stay. Thanks in advance.

You will have two shareable beds (a king and a pullout full) at BLT, AKV and OKW there is an additional sleeper chair, but at the pother resorts, there is not. You're free to bring an air mattress, but you will also have to supply bedding and towels for that fifth person at BCV. And you only add a fifth adult if you're staying at BCV on points, not on a cash reservation through Disney.

Technically Disney will allow you to do it but personally I wouldn't certainly not at the BCV and probably not anywhere else.

The beach Club 1 bedroom will give you a king bed in the master and a queen size sleeper sofa in the lounge. People do take airbeds but they are more for children, once that sleeper sofa is out there is no real floor space for an airbed. The airbed will probably end up half lying in the hallway/kitchen not very convenient when someone wants a drink etc. Also 1 bathroom for 5 adults?

If you really must do 5 adults in a 1 bedroom I would do either BLT or AKV which will give you a king bed, a queen sofa bed and a single sofa bed and much more floor space. Additionally a second bathroom.

In my honest opinion a 1 bedroom is not suited to 5 adults and a 2 bedrrom would be much more suitable. In fact we only ever hire 2 bedrooms for our family of 3 adults, 1 teen and a child.

Keep in mind there's only 1 bathroom. I would go for AKV Kidani or BLT, you have the sleeper chair plus a second bathroom.

OKW also has the twin sized sleeper chair in the living room. So you have one king bed, one queen sleeper sofa and one twin sized sleeper chair like AKV and BLT. OKW has the biggest villas. And though it only technically has one bathroom, there are two sinks in two separate locations (one with the shower and toilet and one with the tub). Plus OKW is the only resort with full sized washer and dryer in the one, two and three bedroom villas. All the rest have compact stackables.

Disney Reservation Center doesn't allow five guests aged three and older in the BCV one bedroom (or BWV, SSR and VWL one bedrooms). Only four plus one under the age of three. But DVC will permit five (but not one more under the age of three) but not provide any bedding or bed for the fifth person. You have to provide your own air bed, bedding, towels, etc for the fifth person.

Yes, you can stay in a one bedroom on points with 5 adults.

We will be doing a one bedroom this weekend and almost had five adults. I really would not have planned a trip with 5 adults in a one bedroom, but you try getting anything at Hilton Head last minute, when someone decides to go unexpectedly. Long story short, the fifth person can't go after all. We still will bring the aero bed because only two want to share a bed. You won't find very many rollaways at DVC.

We don't have a problem with the one bath issue, but always enjoy separate baths.

Before DVC, we often stayed at the Polynesian, with five in the room and shared one bath. Many families still do. Some stay five in a room and one bath at one of the moderate resorts. I can imagine that is a tight fit.

A full size aero will fit in the master bedroom near the sliding door. Not sure about the larger sizes.

Two bedroom is ideal. One bedroom is doable.

I'm now so spoiled I can't even think of staying at Poly - last stay there I really missed the kitchen and we were staying concierge.

You won't find any rollaways or cots with DVC. They will not provide them. Nor will they provide the bedding you need if you bring your own air bed.

the points for 2 studios is about the same as a 1BR. You will have beds for up to 8 people and 2 bath rooms. Plus the ability to get away from each other when needed.

You're best bet fir a 1 BR is Kidani because of the 2 full bathrooms, sleeping fir 5, and a large villa. BLT works too, but the room is much smaller. OKW may have 2 sinks, but all the guests would have to go through the master bedrm to access the 1 shower, and theres no door between the master and bathrm. Or go with 2 studios, but they wont be attached.

OKW Villas numbered 30 or higher have a door in the laundry room to access the shower/toilet room without going through the bedroom.
