Besides the three bedrooms and the pull-out sofa in the media room, are there any other places to have people sleep? We only have 10 people and I know the GV sleeps 12, but it's not married couples or perfect families of 4 and I'm afraid it's going to be awkward asking certain people (just some) to share beds. I was wondering if any of the chairs are those chair-beds like at AK or if the sofas in the LR open up. I suppose I could bring inflatable mattresses if needed, but would rather not have to worry about that. Ideas? BLT has the pullout in the LR and in the area between the two upstairs bedrooms, so that helps out a lot.

There aren't any other places outside the rooms you mentioned that they provide for people to sleep. They don't have any chair-beds or anything like that. The only thing I can think to suggest is taking an air-mattress.

If you look at the member website, you can see the floor plan for the GFV GV under Destinations. Looks like four queen beds, a queen sleeper sofa and the king bed in the master.

Thanks for the replies. I did check out the floor plan, but they don't always show if a chair converts to a bed, etc. Air mattresses may be a good option to give certain people a sense of privacy. They are just so darn heavy to travel with. Still, I appreciate your input. Thanks!

You could ship the air-mattress to your resort, and they'll hold it there for you till you arrive. We've never used or done this with an air-mattress, but we've done it with a lot of other things like large baby and toddler toys. We've bought and shipped things from Amazon to our GV too. Was super convenient!

Where do you find the street addresses for the various resorts? That's not a bad idea at all! Do you then send things back home or check them for the trip home?

They usually have a line to show a sleeper sofa or chair.

But it also says this:
The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
3-Bedroom Grand Villa
View Floor Plans
Lake view
Sleeps up to 12
1 king-size bed, 4 queen-size beds, 1 queen-size sleeper sofa

If I remember correctly, the chair (next to the sofa bed) in the GV at AK-Jambo converted to a bed, but they don't mention that or depict it on the floor plan. That's why I thought maybe someone who has been to GF knew if it was the same there.

I'm pretty sure we pulled that chair into the room with the pool table at night for my son and he loved it. It was like a single bed.

But, good suggestion anyway and I appreciate your help.

I toured a GV at VGF and there isn't a sleeper chair. I imagine that's because they didn't put them anyplace in the building like they used them at AKV. It's too bad they didn't also make one of the sofas in the living area a sleeper so that it provided flexible sleeping arrangements like the chair at AKV and the extra sleeper sofa at BLT allows.

The couch in the media room is absolutely huge. My nephew slept on the pull out bed and my niece slept on the chaise lounge part of the couch. Believe me, there was more then enough room so the 12 and 10 year old didn't complain.

The address for the Grand Floridian is listed on their main website. You can find it here https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/villas-at-grand-floridian-resort-and-spa/

They list the same address for the main resort and the villas.

We just go over to the business center and ship everything home at the end of our trip that we had shipped there at the start. :) (plus usually a lot more:rotfl:)

Thanks for your input. Maybe there will be enough room for my son and his friend to share the couch then (and it not be too weird). That would help a lot! Everyone will be so exhausted at night, they probably won't even care where they lay their heads! haha

I appreciate the replies! Thanks again!

P.S. Thanks for the link to the street address of the GF!! I think I may still use it to ship some stuff there.

I just toured the 2 bdrm lockoff at the VGF a few weeks ago and the cast member was very eager to show me the two hideaway beds that were built into the very large piece of furniture that looked like a large bureau/TV stand. I am assuming those bed types would also be in grand villa but not sure.

Instead of shipping an aerobed, maybe you could rent one from one of the companies down there that rents cribs and strollers and stuff. It might be cheaper than shipping an air mattress sine they're kind of heavy?

No, that piece of furniture is not in the GV's. Only the studios and the livings rooms of the 1 and 2 Br's.
