Hi there! So I've perused many helpful threads about cruising with a toddler and baby, but wanted advice on sleep.

I'll have a 2.5 year old and 6 month old on my hands and the toddler will be able to sleep in one of those beds with a side rail. 6 month old will hopefully be sleeping through the night but will need her pack n play -- did you put them on the same side? Did it disrupt toddlers sleep? Or if you had baby on parents side did it cause jealousy? (Sorry, overplanner here and just worried!)

Also, for bedtime, my toddler will not willingly be left in the nursery for us to go out. She did when she was a baby but now that she's aware and older she haaaaates being left. She sleeps at 8pm at latest... anyone have experience with this situation? Did you just hunker down in the bedroom and sleep early too?

Thanks parents :)

I feel you will have no choice but to have the pack n play next to the couch unless you have a suite. Near the couch is the only place I believe a pack n play will fit.

We have a 2 year old who loved the nursery and the staff and walked right in at drop off and didn't seem to want to leave when we picked her up. Hopefully yours will also adjust and love it as well. Used it about 3hrs a day so we could have a relaxing time in the cove pool area.

We were in a Deluxe FAMILY Oceanview Stateroom with a verandah on the Dream. I believe is it 299 sq. ft. vs the Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with a verandah that is 246 sq. ft. In the room we had, I believe there would have been enough room for a pack n' play by the door that connects to the next stateroom, which would be on the parents' side.

I can't really help you with the rest. My kids would sleep any place I put them. I will say that the nursery CMs are very good at entertaining/calming the toddlers and while your 2.5 year old may fuss when you first leave, it wouldn't hurt her to be there. If she turns into something that the CMs can't handle, they will contact you.

Our 3 year old was fine on the couch that turns into a bed. We didn't even know about the rails but she never fell out.

There is a curtain that you can use to divide the room. We were able to angle the tv to the our side of the curtain and watch tv or movies after our dd went to sleep. We also would sit out on the balcony after she went to sleep.

When my daughter was sleeping early, DH and I took turns staying with her depending on what was on. We would check the navigator and see who wanted to do what and work around it like that.

When we went with our 2 year old, other than the bars she went with us at night. After dinner we went to the room and put her in her pjs then we went to the show. She would try to make it through but usually was so tired she fell asleep while clapping. We would put her on dads shoulder and explore. She would stay asleep most nights but one night she woke up in time for Pluto to talk to her at 11:15 running around the atrium. We may be terrible parents but she still talks about Pluto! Don't give up. Stroller are an option too.

When my kids were little I put them in jammies and then went to the show. I put them to bed after that. I tried to stick to their bedtime as much as I could so they would be happy and well rested during the day. I also kept to their nap schedule. I realize that we missed out on the fireworks and other shenanigans but I was OK with that. We are fortunate enough to be able to vacation every year, which is the beauty of continuing to go back (Disney World and DCL)....every vacation is different with new things to see. My kids are 8 & 10 now so cruising is much different than when they were toddlers. I have way more time alone, we stay up later, I finally saw the fireworks last year, etc. And this year we booked a semi-private catamaran charter which I am so excited to try. So don't worry if you have some early nights in the cabin. There are tons of movies to watch, order some room service, have some wine and enjoy your family time.
