Despite the wonderful size of the OKW 1BR, we're frustrated that there is only one sleeper sofa. We have two kids: 6 and 2.5. Any ideas?

Putting our kids together in one bed is a disaster waiting to happen.

Aero bed or inflatable mattress? Put the cushions between the kids to divide the bed?

You could put one on the floor, using blankets and pillows, or you could put one the loveseat...even though it doesn't pull out. Are you driving? You could bring a sleeping bag, an inflatible mattress or a cot.

is your youngest still in a crib? Ours is (2.5 yo also), and we rented a crib from ABBF. Next visit, we will be bringing our aero bed for one of them. They are each too wild of a sleeper to sleep together.

My kids are basically the same age as yours (DD 6 and DS 3), so here's what we do. Both of my kids have Ready Beds. They are available at most sporting goods stores, Target, WalMart and usually run around $20 - $25 each. They are sleeping bags with an airmattress underneath to make them more comfortable. We bring them (they fold up VERY small) and they sleep on these in the living room. We just have to move the coffee table out of the way, and it is MUCH easier than taking the bed out/in everyday. They think it's GREAT they get to have a sleepover on vacation. Check them out!

Other than the above options, getting a 2 BR is the other alternative and likely the best one as they get a little older.

When the kids get a little older, they'll probably be able to share a bed perfectly well. Ours do just fine, even though they're of different sexes, which makes the 1-bedroom possible. However, as soon as the first one reaches puberty then it's time for the 2-bedroom so they can have separate beds.

Your toddler will fit on the loveseat. Just request a bed rail from housekeeping to keep him/her (?) from falling out. You can slide the loveseat away from the couch to keep the kids apart.

BTW, my kids (now 9, 6, and 2) fight all night EXCEPT in Disney. After all of that walking and swimming they are too tired to fight. Maybe you'll be lucky and they'll be tired.

Ours also do fine in one bed at Disney. Too darn tired to do anything but sleep. But I think I'd plan on having "other" arrangments.....

When you take the cushions off the sofa to open it up, use them for one kid to sleep on. There should be enough floor space. They could take turns if no one wants the cushions. At some point, they should be happy to be at WDW, and not complain that they have to share a bed.

We have two sone - now ages 8 and 7. My 7 year old insisted on sleeping on the loveseat - we just used extra sheets and blankets for him. In fact - the 8 year old was a bit jealous that he "got" to sleep on the couch! They do pretty well sleeping in the same bed in hotels, though, especially after all day in a park! We stayed 8 nights and the kid on the couch loved it!
One big suggestion - the biggest fights seem to be over blankets. If they get their own blankets - usually the same bed issue isn't as big of a deal, and they can roll over and ignore each other!
Have fun!

We seem to do things differently. My two daughters sleep in the bedroom, one (4 year old) in a ready bed and the 11 year old in the bed. My husband and I then take turns in sleeping in the sofa bed and one in the bedroom. We like keeping the sitting room for us in the evening. Also my 4 year old likes to go to bed early and my 11 year old is to nervous to sleep by herself. I think you work it out to suite your own family needs.
