Aimeedyan said:One trick we encourage our parents to do is buy the huge ziplock bags and pack a days worth of clothes in each and label the bag. Socks, panty, shorts, tee in each. This helps the girls stay a bit more organized, though the bags often end up strewn about the cabin by day 3 it's better than random white socks being strewn about! Labeling the bag with a day and the child's name helps a lot, too. This also tells them what clothes are clean and what aren't.
Good luck!
This is a fantastic idea. I know I do a similar thing when we go on vacation - packing their clothes in the suitcase all together by day BUT for camp this would make it simpler for her to get dressed.
My son is also going away for a Boy Scout camp this summer - his first ever sleep away camp and he is 10 1/2. I know he will NOT be brushing teeth on a regular basis, showering (but they do swim daily) or doing those basic things you said you remind them to do. Boys are different for sure.
Thanks for your help. I am actually getting excited about registering her.
