I think we are finally going to bite the bullet and get a sleep number bed. We've been wanting one for years, but was never in the budget.
Do you have to get their foundation or can you use any foundation. We have one in great condition so we'd rather use that and not pay for another one.
Has anyone done this?

) Hate it. I'd much rather have our old waterbed back. The sleepnumber bed sounded like a good idea, and it was attractive for the first few weeks, but then we started realizing all the elements of discomfort. We've applied feather beds and foam mats on top, to try to address the inflexible nature of an inflated mattress, but we're still very unhappy. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. It just isn't anywhere near as comfortable for us as a waterbed was.
