Sleep Inn questions - Buffalo

wow, you did great with the duty charges!

When I went to Syracuse last weekend, I thought that it was 24 hours in the US to bring back a bottle of alchohol without paying on it. I was WRONG! Because I wasn't there 48 hours, I ended up paying an additional $45 to bring home my 1 Litre bottle of Grey Goose Vodka :sad2:

I called the hotel directly and got the AAA rate.
For both of us to fly Buf - las was $275! This is a really great deal all around!

Kelsco, we never buy alcohol or cigs at all, unless we've been over a week.

Funny bit to our trip, my friend is an officer and I said show your badge so we won't have any hassles coming or going and she said she can't do that. Well, she showed her BC crossing over to the States and he said he needed to see photo id, so she showed her police card and the guy was a nice as pie, told us what newspaper to buy to get all the fliers! :woohoo:

When you check in the front desk asks you what time you would like the shuttle for the next day and you just show up in the lobby at your time. Before retiring for the night you are asked to go to the front desk and tell them you are finished with your car and they will ask you to follow the shuttle to a parking area across from the hotel (parking in front of the hotel is limited and just for guests that are not park'n fly)You then park and hop into the shuttle to go back to hotel for the night.

How close is the parking lot for park and fly. I was planning on putting things in the vehicle in the morning that was not planning on taking on the trip. Can I walk across the street in the morning and put the things in the car. Flight leaves at 9:30 so planning on leaving the hotel between 7:30 and 8:00. Could I transfer the vehicle to the parking lot in the morning?

If you're only using the park 'n fly for a week then you will most likely be parked across the street but this past trip we were gone for 3 weeks and we had to park down the street in front of the hotel owners business. Not too sure if you could park in the hotel lot overnight then tranfer your car but you can always ask them at the front desk. We found the staff excellant and very helpful. :sunny:
