Sleep in the Haunted Mansion???

Does anyone else listen to the Mark & Brian radio show? It's a syndicated morning radio show based out of LA. Well this morning they announced that in honor of the Haunted Mansion and KLOS's 40th birthdays, next week they will be giving away family 4pk-3day hopper passes. The grand prize winner of the contest will get to SPEND THE NIGHT IN THE HAUNTED MANSION!!! They'll be giving out more details about the contest next week. Now how awesome would that be to sleep in the night in the HM???!!! Would you be able to sleep?

WOW, I would love that. I can sleep anywhere. If they let me explore that is what I would be doing.

I totally agree with Jack!!! I wouldn't be able to sleep because I would be exploring the house! That sounds like such an amazing experience...

Dust?? There's not really that much dust, they have a huge system in place for sucking out the air in that place....I bet you would be surprised if the lights were on. Of course there is dust but it doesn't affect my allergies so there can't be that much.

OP I'd LOVE to win THAT prize....too bad I don't have a way to listen to that station! lol

I would have to believe that the winner of this opportunity will have a Disney CM with them at all times and wandering around the mansion will not be allowed. Just a hunch.

I don't know if I would be able to sleep or not in the HM, but what an awesome prize! I wonder what the set-up will be - like will they set up some beds for people? Is there a secret bathroom people can use? Will there be special Haunted Mansion toiletries (how cool would THAT be?)? Will they make sure that some of the 'creepy' effects are running while the people spend the night?

Wow! That is a GREAT prize! Either Mark or Brian was at DLR last year on one of the weekends we went - can't recall which one - he announced he was going on the radio, but we never saw him.

Wow! How cool. I always thought the HM was a shell of a house. Just the walls no real rooms, now I wonder what the layout is?
Or if they plan to set up a room somewhere?

You can listen to Mark & Brian on the internet pixiewings71! People from all over the country listen to them! They're on from 6-10 in the morning. I'll be at work after 7:30 on Monday so I told my husband he needs to listen to the entire show in case they give more details! He can listen from work.

I wonder if they'll set up a bed in the portrait hallway. That's where they had the tables when they sold tickets to have dinner in the HM. Where else on the ride could they set up a place for you to sleep? The stretching room would be another place, I guess.

GAH!!! How exciting is that!?!? I'm getting all giddy like I won the prize because it just sounds so fantastic! I was suuuper bummed that I couldn't be there for the birthday of HM, but I'm definitely going to listen in on the internet to try to win!

I'm with Dreams here, I highly doubt you'd have free run of the house. There will be CM's everywhere and security watching you like a hawk! They may give you a small guided tour which would be neat or tell you some inside stuff. Just would be freakin awesome.

I read somewhere (maybe the Disneyland Encyclopedia?) that their big air system does actually make the HM mostly dust free but they add dust on purpose to give it a dusty look.

Actually I can't tho, because my company does not allow streaming, it uses too much server space. And even for a free trip my DBF will not get up in the morning to listen to the radio! lol

I heard that too, I thought it was kinda funny that they try to "dust" it, hmmm, maybe we should invent HM Dust....LOL
