Looking at connecting rooms vs verandah on the Fantasy and they have 2 connecting available (9C on deck 7 or 8) and the TA sent me a pic of the window. I can't tell...is the entire wall from ceiling down slanted? Or just the part with the window? Does it eat up a lot of space? Thanks:)

We stayed in those rooms on the fantasy, quite frankly, I loved them! The room size is actually BIGGER than other rooms in the category because of the slant. The slant begins at the end of a normal size room. The only "downside" is that it is a smaller porthole than the rooms on the side of the ship, but that didn't really bother us at all. The picture in the thread answers your question about what it looks like. Let me know if you have more questions.

Totally agree. We stayed in 7504 (Front Right Corner) on the Fantasy May, 2013. This stateroom is huge, it's also very private & quiet as well. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We had 8502 and we will never book OGT on Fantasy again, since that's how we got that room. If I cannot see out our window conveniently, I would rather have had IGT. We are tall, and although neither of us hit our head badly, getting out of bed on that side was a bother.

I am the opposite. We have rooms 8504 and 8502 and booked them specifically as we love the size of the rooms and the area of the ship. We have been in the corner rooms several times on the Dream/Fantasy.

Here is a pic of the slanted porthole in 8006 which is a 9D corner room:

While i agree that the room is bigger and i did enjoy the space, the window thing never worked for me.

Maybe i'm too tall, but every time i went to look out the window, i'd have to bend...a lot...to look out the window. I could look out the window from the sofa, but i'd only see clouds. It was also a little high for my little one so i had to pick her up to look out.

I'm not saying its a bad room...great sunlight, more space, just looking out was difficult for me

I am 5'7"and did have to bend to look out but the space outweighed the porthole for me. I just like having natural light.
