Slacker Packing

I booked this cruise about 7 months ago. We leave tomorrow. I'm running around, trying to get everything done and packed and organized.

Anyway, despite having had months to plan, I'm feeling not very prepared.

How does laundry work? I'm figuring we'll do at least one load. I'm bringing my preferred soap and dryer sheets. Do I also need quarters or does it charge the room card?

I keep trying to whittle down the pile of stuff I'm bringing, and then somehow I'm squeezing more in.

I'm quite likely to have more questions as I pack. I'm the queen of procrastination, despite months of research.

Join the club. I am going on my 34th DCL cruise on Friday and I still have issues with what I am packing!!! It is a 2 week cruise so I am bringing some things I normally would not for a shorter cruise but I still feel I should have this down by now!!

Leaving at 4:30 am tomorrow for my flight to CA!!

You use your KTTW card for laundry. No need for quarters. $2 to wash, $2 to dry. Small washers, so be prepared to spend a few dollars. Have a fantastic trip!

Can you buy travel size detergent any where? I would like to bring my own detergent, but I'm not sure where to find it in a small size. I guess I could pour what I'll need it in a small bottle.

My cruise is in 44 days, and despite all the research I've done, I still feel very unprepared! I can't imagine how I'll feel the day before! I'm so nervous about forgetting something. I'm packing for 5 people!

If you take me with you MJ, I'll do all your laundry including ironing. I'm just sayin.

Enjoy your cruise, I can hardly wait for my wife to retire from teaching so we can do a PC cruise. Only 8 more years, she already has a countdown clock on her iPhone.

For this trip I bought tide pods and I put them into a small Tupperware. In the past, I've seen single use envelopes of liquid detergent. I've seen those at Target, I think it's up & up brand.

If you are doing the EBPC be prepared for really warm and humid weather.

I'm the world champion of procrastination. I read all these people's posts about packing days/weeks/months before a trip. I am NOT that person. I packed my family of 4 for the WBPC in May the night before we left. Took hours. The hubby wasn't amused. But, we made it & had a great trip even if we started out a little (or a lot) tired. LOL!

I am the same way. I always have good intentions, but I'm always scurrying around at the last minute or running to Target at 10pm the night before we leave. In fact, my DD and I are going to Orlando this afternoon. I'm not packed yet. I don't have to pick her up at school until 3. Plenty of time..............

There are travel size packets of detergent in the travel toiletries section I've seen at Walmart and target. I've gotten Tide or All ones
