Skymiles Ticket Cancellation ?

Hi,

Does anyone happen to know the cancellation policy if you have a Delta Skymiles Award ticket and need to cancel? Can't seem to find the answer on the Delta site and thought this might be easier than calling. Thanks.

You can cancel the ticket and redepoist the miles for $50. You can do this on line or by calling (calling is actually easier!)

CarolA is right. For $50 you can redeposit the miles into your account. This is very simple and much faster to do online. You can also do nothing. (Just keep the confimation number.) When you want to reschedule, log into your account, then you can "change your flight" for $50. I recently used option 2 in April, simply because I didn't want to pay the $50 to put miles back into my account if Delta was going to cease to exist after 4/15. Now that they (supposedly) are good until 2009, I rebooked my ticket for December. IMHO - SWA is #1, Delta is just a backup.
