We are staying off site but would like to try the skyliner out. Where is best place to get on and start where we don't have to walk to far? My son is disabled and has foot issues so we don't want to have to walk too much. Any good recommendation on where to get off to grab something to eat? Once again without having to walk too far, close to station. We did think about Beaches and Cream but they are booked - do they take walk ups?

What is considered too far for your son? That might make a difference on suggestions. From the Epcot Skyliner station, it probably is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on speed to B&C. If this is too much, you might want to consider a trip on the skyliner adding a ride on the boats that stop at each of the Epcot resorts. Most of the skyliner stations at the resorts seem to be at least a 5-10 minute walk to the restaurants, if not a bit more depending on the restaurant.

Beaches and Cream was not taking walk ups in June when we visited. You could try the pizza window at the Boardwalk.

When you got to Hollywood Studios it's a short walk to the Skyliner. Take it to it's stop and then take it to Epcot. Then do that back. It's a fun ride.

Thanks all - how far is walk from epcot skyliner to the boats that could take us to boardwalk or beach club?
Do I need an Epcot ticket to get off?

No park ticket needed. The skyliner is outside the park gates. Beach club is best reached just by walking. The boat dock is pretty close to the skyliner exit. The boat takes you to Boardwalk, then Yacht Club, Swan & Dolphin, then back to Studios. If you take the boat to YC, you’ll have to walk back to Beach Club anyway. You could also go to the quick service at Carribean Beach or Riviera if you want quick service. Those are both a bit of a walk (5-10 minutes) but it’s a way to see those resorts if you have time.
