It's looking increasingly likely we may stay at one of the resorts near the Skyliner (Carribean or Pop) starting on 12/31/24 (NYE)

And we might very well be on the Boardwalk for the countdown at midnight.

If at 12:05am we make a beeline from the Boardwalk to the International Gateway Skyliner terminal, what might the crowds/lines be like at about 12:20am at that terminal?

Thanks.

EXTREMELY heavy as guests will be exiting Epcot for the Skyliner. That being said, it’s doable. All transportation options (including roads) will be extremely busy. It’s a time to pack patience as everything is busy on NYE.

While we weren’t at Epcot on 12/31, we were at Epcot that week between Christmas and new year two years ago. Everywhere was packed. At Epcot at closing the line for the skyliner was all the way back to the Beach Club. However, it only took us about 25min to board since the line was continuously moving.

Thanks folks. Yes, I'm familiar with how the Skyliner line at the Intnl Gateway gets long right after Epcot closes at 9pm.

However, on NYE, Epcot closes at 1am. Yea, there will be a fireworks show that starts at 11;54pm which I guess everyone on the Boardwalk will be sorta watching too. I guess it'll end just at or after midnight.

But will there be a mad rush for the Skyliner from Epcot right after the fireworks, or will it be less than the usual 9pm closing crowd bc it closes at 1am that night? Hmmm.

Multiple people just told you it will be a nuthouse. You think people who spent the whole day and night up until midnight traversing EP, waiting in a dozen stupidly long lines in a crazy crowded theme park, drinking, dancing and trying not to fall over by midnight are gonna hang in EP for another hour just because they can? C’mon.

It will be a mad rush for the Skyliner. The crowds also tend to be much higher than the usual 9pm closing crowd because it’s NYE and the fireworks are spectacular.

The line should be shorter at 11:30p.

You'll avoid the mob leaving right after the fireworks.

CRAZY...... many, many, many families will stay till midnight/fireworks then dash to transportation with their kids drape over parents shoulders. This will make for the drama of being at a park NYE.
Either plan for that chaos OR sit down till 12:45ish
