I saw some posts on here about the Skyliner being down and having to take a bus to their resort instead. It made me wonder, do they have any sort of a tracker in the Genie app or MDE app that would let you know if the Skyliner is down for whatever reason? I am guessing that the Skyliner is in the back of Epcot and you get the buses in the front of Epcot so it would save time to check and make sure if it is running before you leave the park.

We just had this issue last night. Skyliner closed for lightning in the area at around 4pm, we went to Epcot by bus from Pop Century (which took 20+ minutes to arrive). At the end of the night after fireworks I asked a group of CMs if Skyliner was open and received a Yes and No from the same group.

It was closed, but it just goes to show you that there isn't a good communication system. Oh, and the line to get back to Pop at the end of the night was next level bonkers. We made it on the 2nd bus, but there was easily 200+ people behind us. Ouch.

Disney really needs a better system of letting people know the status of the skylines. It was down yesterday around 2. No signs, just a cast member telling people it was down. He told everyone going to Rivera to go to Yacht club, of course the skyline bus doesn’t normally stop there, it stops at beach club. Luckily a cast member at Yacht club was able to call and get a Rivera bus.

As well as, how do you get back to your resort if you don't have a park pass that would allow you to enter Epcot? I'm staying at BCV, and planning to take the monorail over to Riviera and/or Caribbean in lieu of buying a park ticket. Kinda tuff if I need a bus to get back to BCV.

If you are at Riviera or CBR and the Skyliner is down and you need to get back to BCV, you'd just hop on a bus to anywhere other than Epcot (and maybe HS depending on weather) and then take a bus back to BCV.

Thanks so much.
