Additionally, the figures are on sale for buy 2 get 1 free at Target. The regular ones are $9.99, and the swap-able ones are $14.99 (these are regular prices). McDonald's Happy Meals also have a $1 off one single figure coupon. 3 coupons work even though you're getting one free. The starter set comes with 3 characters (2 swap-able, 1 regular), so you don't need these to play the game.

Might be a good gift idea to put away for Christmas or birthdays!

I just tried this and my Target wouldn't let me do it. They said they would price match, but only accept a Target coupon.

I would try a different Target, because the information they gave you doesn't match their policy. It worked for us last night. I'll try to find the information on their policy and post it.

Can I use a coupon when price matching?

A guest can use coupons when price matching per Target's normal coupon policy. When the guest presents a coupon(s), these steps will be followed:

Manufacturer coupons: manufacturer coupons will be applied after the price match is made.

Or maybe try Walmart or Toys R Us for the starter kit? Though I don't know what their policies are

I just saw a commercial for Toys R Us that said the Starter Packs are $32.49 there as well, so you don't even have to deal with price matching. Just use your coupon at the register.

Toys R Us also has their swap force characters buy one get one 50% off, and their spyros adventure single characters are 3.99 each.
