Skyauction?

So I went and checked out this site and am a bit confused. Is it just like Ebay in the sense that it's auctions, but instead for hotels/airfare?

Is it legit? Is there a certain strategy for doing good?

Hi Mike. I'm certainly no Skyauction expert but I can tell you that I've just used them for a week at Hilton Head Island and recently won a week at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas for $251 all fees included which is fabulous. Yes, it is an auction of some sort of excess inventory (I think? - can't find the previous post on that.) The main point I can tell you is that the best savings and prices are on the 'bid for 7 nights' auctions as opposed to the 'bid per night' auction.
