Have any bought vacation certificates from them before? Was it straight forward? Any issues/complications? Were the rooms nice? There are some excellent prices on there, I just don't want to get screwed over somehow.

I use sky auction almost exclusively for WDW. Never had a problem that wasn't dealt with quickly. Ive always gotten more than my moneys worth. Do your research, read the fine print and google your chosen resort before you commit yourself.

What resorts have you used?

My favorite is Wyndham Cypress Palms. I've also stayed in Star Island, Silver lakes, Orbit one, Cypress Point. Not crazy about Fantasy world or Sevilla, but they were a long time ago. Also do not care for the Legacy resorts.

I have used Skyauction about 90 times so far. The certificates have become very hard to use without paying additional fees. Now I book specific resorts and still have to be very careful not to end up with expensive surcharges.

It looks to me that the certificates are best when used during the very slowest times of year at the least popular resorts or unit size. I’d rather pay a little more and get the exact resort and unit size I want by winning an auction for a specific resort that I want.

Surcharges when using certificates are often high when booking further out and less for stays 30-60 days out, if they still have availability.

Check availability before you buy. Availability changes daily but you will get a good idea which resorts are available and what the extra fees are before you buy.

Make sure to value your time in constantly checking inventory. I find the stress is not worth the potential savings.
