Hello, I posted this on the Hotel board, but noone seems to be there today! LOL, so thought I'd post here also :)

after getting some help, I decided to try skyauctions.
but have some questions :)

we are booked at HIFS for $76 a night + tax,

there will be 3 adults and 3 kiddos, Sep 25- Oct 2nd.
so the skyauctions looks like a MUCH better deal :)

this is whats available for our dates, do you recommend any??

Club Sevilla
High Point World Resort
Lago Vista at Buenaventura Lakes
Orbit One Vacation Villas
Westgate Vacation Villas
Bryan's Spanish Cove
Leisure Resorts Orlando

the Westgate Vacation Villas &
Lago Vista at Buenaventura Lakes, look really good.

but this is our first trip so I have NO idea, I do know DH would love to get some fishing in :teeth:
any of the above offer that?

now on to the auction, do I pick the room BEFORE I bid?
or do you bid, then send which you prefer?

also, the security deposits, I notice some are as high as $200, do you get these back? what are they for?

to make sure you dont leave dirty dishes etc.?? LOL
do we have to do the laundry/cleaning before we leave the resort?
I know, LOTS of questions!
I truly appreciate all the help!! ::yes::

we are getting excited!! :hyper:

We did a ready set go auction last summer. The fee was $190.00 which is what they keep, and the bid was for about 130.00 I think I paid 320.00 for the whole week, We got the Vistana Resort (Lakes), right off 535 about 2-3 miles from downtown disney gate. It was well worth the money we had 7 people and 3 bedrooms. You dont get any cleaning, at the end of stay they clean when you leave. Its the same as a timeshare for a week. We also were asked to do the timeshare tour, we own at Disneys OKW, got us another $100.00 for doing it. Westgate Villas, I believe is 192 in a very congested traffic area, I would stay away from this area. Plus Vistana is known for being very high pressure for you to buy, your not obligated to do the tour, they just ask. Not sure where the others are, look on timeshare sites, TUG, Redweek, check info on the others.

thanks for the help, will check out the timeshare sites :)

anyone else have experience with any of these resorts?

We're booked at Orbit One in October, also from a RSG auction. We've never been but I had gotten reviews here and they were all positive.

What you do is place a bid then go to the link to hold a room at your desired location. After you win the auction, you e-mail them and tell them what you put a hold on and they confirm it and send you the paperwork. FYI - we are paying a total of $261 for the week at Orbit One for a 2-bed, 2-bath unit.
