Hi,

This isn't a question related to Orlando hotels, but have seen SkyAuction mentioned on this board quite alot so thought maybe someone could help. (trying to win a hotel in New York)

When you win an auction are you able to ask for the number of beds you want or do you get what you are given?

Do you get given the worst room in the worst part of the hotel (like some priceline hotels), or treated like a normal guest?

For the hotels it says there is $32 per night tax you have to pay, will there be any aditional taxes when you check in?

thanks :teeth:

I can answer a few-

The type of room you are bidding on should be outlines in the auction but you can still phone the hotel and make requests.

We were put in the old section at OLCC but I asked to be moved at check in and they did it no problem. I don't think they stick you in the worst section- I think it depends on whos timeshare is up for bids and where their condo is located. As for priceline I have never been stuck in a bad room.

The only additional expense I can think of is if some resort as their own resort fee.
