SKYAUCTION: Did I get lucky or what!!!

Okay, so the silver lake finally showed up on the home away from home auction, so i bid on and won the auction, however before I got my certificate number it was gone, I could not believe this, (yes I could ) so what could it hurt I called the 1-800 number just to see if it may still be there, just not showing up, well just as I thought he said sorry, its gone, only have 1 bedrooms there, but I do have a 2 bedroom at Vistana for the same date, I thought how could that be it was not even listed on the resorts you had to chose from. The guy went on to tell me that sometimes with these larger resorts such as Vistana they don't list them, and to you can only stay there every four years. I was really sad that I didn't get Silver Lake because it is so close to disney, but I think I will be happy with Vistana.

We were told the same 4 year thing by Vistana last time we stayed there via Skyauction....are you staying there every year with wins from Skyauction and are you attending the presentation when you are there?

Staying with skyauction not taking the tour. Never have.

I do not understand the every four years thing, this is my third year in a row for Vistana. I am actually sitting in a unit at the Falls right now writing it.

Not thrilled with it this time. We had ants a first at Vistana for us AND we had an incident with check in. When we arrived at our room the key opened the door but the safty lock was on from the INSIDE!! We spent over two hours checking in because of this and although the manager was very nice this was a huge security breach as far as I am concerned. there is no way the latch could be on unless someone was in the room. If hte latch was not on someone could have robbed whomever was using the room. The manager could not understand how the room could be occupied but there are so many possible ramifications from this that it made me uneasy for the first time since I have been coming here.

we stayed there last time in 2004, hasn't most of the condos been re done since then. I can't remember what section we stayed. I know you turn off main road beside of Walgreens go down and take the first right and circle the curve and you were there in between to sets of condos and the ones on the left had a pool behind them, we on the right had a pond with a fountain, do you know where we might have been?

Actually, this can happen. I was staying at a different resort and halfway through the stay, the night latch flipped when the door closed (I'll admit, we had to slam it to close it, so that probably contributed to the problem). We had to have maintenance come up and they forced the door, tearing off the latch. Of course, they replaced it right away.

I have stayed at Springs and Lakes - love it.

Sheraton Vistana is a very nice resort. and yes I think you were very lucky!

Glad you had someone who would look for you!!! that makes a big difference.
