Hi, just showed pics to my little one and he was interested in the Sky Tower. On SW website it says a small extra fee for this. Can anyone tell me what this fee is and is it worth it??
Thanks a bunch!;) :)

id like to know too..also is it a sit down thing or are you standing w/a bunch of people?

just found the info..its $3.00 a person and lasts 6 min. 2 levels of singls row seats..guess that doesnt mean my mom s gonna do it..shes afraid of heights...oh well...anyone know if its scary?

No, it's not intended to be a thrill ride. You just slowly ride up and back down. It is more of a sight-seeing ride than anything else. The view is pretty awesome, but once is enough. We don't normally do it when we visit.

hmmm, I don't know about that. I'm interested in anything once, but with 5 of us that's another 15.00?? I don't know I'll have to think on this one, guess I'll make up my mind when we get there!
Thanks for the info!:)

If you have a platinum passpor its free. We usually always hit it because its air conditioned, and a good way to rest the feet and keep the kids entertained.

I usually get on it to check on the progress of the water park. That is, if the Tower is open. It's been closed quite a few times over the last couple of months.

it's the same way with the skyride at Busch Gardens. I've always been told wind was a factor, even on a clear day. I don't know if it's their go-to answer, but that's what I've been told.

Makes sense, I don't think I'd feel comfortable if the wind was bad. I can't even stand it when the wind is bad and I'm driving!:)

Hi,

I was just there on Friday and it wasn't open. The cost was $3 a person.

Well then maybe...

1) wind conditions
2) maybe they have set an hourly utilization requirement designed to counter operating expenses...if not enough guest use it during the initial part of the day they close it down...a trend may keep it closed for multiple days

I know when we have visited in November and December the tower was closed each time...multiple consecitive days too.

I've just always thought of it as a 400 ft screw...ride turns up, ride turns down. they have wind sensors on it, as well as the skyride at BG.
