Hi all,

Just a quick question, Im sure this has been answered already but I cant seem to find any info!
As we all know, at the moment, holidays are quite the luxury and well basically to cut a long story short :lmao:
I would like to take my mum to DLP.:cloud9: We havent been away in quite awhile together and she has never been to Disney and I think she would love it.

A friend has today offered me her the vouchers she has got from sky rewards and said it looks like there is no problem with me using them.

Just wondering has anyone else used these vouchers? Is it strictly for the account holder only or can you get away with someone gifting you theirs?

Fingers and toes crossed,:wizard::wizard: I know its a long shot but the flights and accommodation will strech me to my limit, if I could use these vouchers it would be the difference between booking and not booking.

I would be soooo very grateful for any information xxxx

Thanks :)

Hi, I'm not an expert but we're Sky customers and I looked in to getting the free tickets for my parents to use. We are all going together but my hisband, daughter and I have bought annual passes as we'll be going in to the parks for a number of days but my parents will probably only do the one day. Looking at Sky's T&Cs it appears that the tickets can only be used by the account holder and they mention that ID must be shown. I assume this is to prevent the tickets being re-sold on eBay etc. I'm not sure how tight Disney are on following these guidelines though, be interesting to hear how other people have faired.

Awww thats a pity, I actually never even thought about them being resold how nieve am I :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I totally understand now if they can only be used by the account holder.

Heres hoping someone has used them and can give a bit of feedback on how strict Disney are! Like that myself and mum would just be going for 2 nights and 1 day in Disney so it would be great to take the price of the tickets off.

Where would you be looking to stay? If it were onsite at a Disney hotel then most of the time the package price (inc tickets) is often cheaper than the room only price... Not always, but a lot of the time, especially if you buy during a flash sale.

I read on here a while back (when the offer first came out) that tickets were strictly for account holders only and that Disney would adhere to the ID check. Not heard of anyone using them yet though.

Ok so my friend just applied for the tickets but did so in my name with my contact details and Ive got an email to say well that basically the tickets will be in my name and to bring ID.
Now do keep in mind ive only just got this information and maybe if it passes through some sort of screening they will realise that Im not strictly the account holder! :confused3
Yet again I cross my finger toes and everything else.
I would be looking to stay off site, as well Im testing the water with my mum and I dont want to scare her off Disney! I think one day in the parks for a first timer who isnt Disney crazy might be enough :lmao::lmao:
So the plan is stay off site, for 2 nights with one day in the parks. I couldnt justify spendning the on site price when she might just hate it if you get me?

Hi:)
There are posts on other sites of people doing this & as long as your contact details were input you'll be fine. People have already been & used them & reported back that it worked fine.:thumbsup2

The crucial elements are:

That the offer is one per household.

And the tickets have the person who will use them's name and date of birth on them.

The actual Sky account holder does NOT have to be the person wh uses them. But, they DO have to book them on their own account and input the person visiting DLP's name and DOB. this is because you will need to show photo ID to use them.

It can be a bit of a faff executing it all, but is fully legit as I consulted with Leger Travel (who are running the promotion with Sky) before doing it.

So.... upshot is, name and address needs to be Sky account holder, but they CAN nominate a friend or family member and input them onto the voucher. The voucher is then sent via email with a code, the user's name and DOB. You print this out and take it with you.

Hope that helps. I have done this myself for our upcoming visit in June. I was lucky enough to have a number of friends happy to nominate us (as well as using our own) and we are going for three days, saving us quite a bit!

Thanks for posting the question bee and for all the replies. I've actually applied for the Sky tickets now on the back of this thread. They're in my husband's name but we will be there entering the park at the same time as my parents so assume he can collect the tickets showing his ID but then my parents can actually use them to enter the parks?

Allymc by the sounds of things, once the person who the tickets are in the name of is there with photo id, you are laughing :dance3::dance3:

Im sooooo super excited now, I know its just one day in the parks but it will be a first for my mum AND I havent been in 5 years!!! I happened to go for the 15th anniversary so its just fabulous to get back for the 20th :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Again thank you all for your prompt and helpful replies sending you all loads of pixie dust :wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

You guys are lucky, I work for Sky and we're not allowed to use them due to being an employee :( still at least we can use Tesco vouchers :)

So, can I just check something...

My Dad has done the Sky tickets in my name and address. The address is also his address, and he is the account holder so I assume this is no problem :)

For the next day, my brother has booked the Sky tickets in my friend's name and address (her address is not the address of any account holder) - will this be a problem do you think? All I can see on the voucher is just her name, no address or anything, so I'm hoping we'll be fine with just that and her passport...

This might sound silly, but when you exchange the voucher, would they check that your address matches to a sky account holder? or are they literally just matching the name on the voucher to the photo ID? :)

They just match the names to the ID:goodvibes

I think your brother must have been signed in to Sky rewards on his account anyway when he did the application and that is how the account being held has been acknowledged. If the voucher has come through with your friend's name and date of birth then that is all she needs to take (along with her passport) to get in. Good times! :)
