I just noticed that sky auction has 2006 now posted. My luck, I missed august - sleeps 8. I need opinions please, would you bid on a sleeps 6 and hope to get a newer unit or wait to see if something else comes available in the next couple of months on the auction? We stayed there for the first time last year in cascades and were spoiled. I can't remember what day check in is for sky auction and what units are available. I would appreciate any suggests on what to do. Thank you

Sue

I think the new ones sleep 6, the older ones sleep 8.

the older ones are definitely bigger.

that say be aware - that I think Sheraton is giving its new units to II - not RCI - RCI controls skyauction.

I "think" all the sections have condos that sleep 8 except Falls and that is a Sunday check in. But I'm sure Maria will know for sure..........oh, Mariaaaaaaa...... :wave2:

How many people do you have?

Edited to add: Let me clarify. I think all of the sections have some condos that sleep 6 and some condos that sleep 8, except for Falls. Even Courts have some sleep 8.........these are loft type condos, "I think".

See, and I thought it was the onlder units that sleep 6 and the newer units sleep 8.
I *believe* the difference is sleeps 6 means second bedroom has twin beds. Sleeps 8 means it has double beds. I think the older units (courts, etc) have the twins, but the newer ones have the doubles. I could be completely wrong, but that's the jist I've gotten.

we have an older unit - Spring - 2 double beds.

the older units are bigger than the newer ones

Oh, I know, the older ones have much more space than the newer ones. That's why we're considering an older unit. . . .but the terms sleeps 6 and sleeps 8 refers to the amount of bedspace available, not the size of the actual unit. And I actually think it might only be some of the Courts that has the twin beds, but I think some of the courts has doubles too; so picking the sleeps 8 only slightly increases your odds of not getting a Courts. So, making request via Diamond is still recommended.

Sorry to confuse.

Opps, added to correct, not the courts, but the falls that have the twin beds.

You are correct Pamela.....only the older Falls sleeps 6 (2 twin beds in the second bedroom).
Spiceycat is right in that most of the older units are larger than the newest Cascades sq footage-wise.
I suppose getting an upgrade would depend on the time of year you're visiting ?

How do you know that 2006 is now available? And is it just part of 2006 or all of it?
