Sky Auction... Orange Lake, Cypress Pointe, or Silver Lake

We are going to Orlando in September and I've just discovered SkyAuction. This is great! We have stayed in many hotels, on and off WDW property. We have three kids, and was wondering which property we should stay. Also, if it is NOT a Ready, Set, Go Auction, can you pre-select which resort you want from the inventory list that was available at the start of the auction(listed below item description)? Thanks for any information!

Don't quote me, but if you are bidding one one that is a "Resort of your Choice", I don' think you can reserve a spot like you can w/ a RSG auction. They just list what was available at the beginning of the auction. However, there are usually more available for those tyes of auctions than the RSG ones. BUT, the prices for the RSG are a LOT better!

I will be staying at Orange Lake in October. I have heard that all 3 you listed (as long as it is Cypress Pointe Grand Villas, not just Cypress Pointe) are just fine. Believe that OL and CPGV are nicer than SL.

We won 2 weeks (2 separate auctions) at Orange Lake for this Dec. through SkyAuction. One was an RSG auction and I *think* we called and reserved our date in advance of winning the auction for that one. It was a couple months or so ago and I don't remember!! Anyway, the other was an auction for a 2 bdrm. suite at our resort of choice and if I recall we had to wait until after we won the auction to make the selection. I believe they sent an email asking for your dates/resorts of preference (1st choice and alternate). My DH took care of the bidding and details on both auctions so I'm not positive, but pretty sure this is how it worked. Good luck to you!!

Is there definitely a difference in CPGV and CP Condos?

Hotelmart shows the CP as having a 2 bedroom condo but when you click on the CP site they list it as a 2 bedroom villa.
