sky auction......... no inventory????

ok, last month everyone was in a worry that stuff was changing over at the sky auctions site. you either chose the regular certificate you BOUGHT or the new style where you can now pay extra!!
at the time there was still plenty of inventory, I remember checking nov & dec there had to be over 30 propertys available!

I just checked there is NOTHING available from set to march of 2009 at NO charge!!

has anyone redeemed any certificates lately?

Muffyn, I checked this am and there was inventory in Oct and Nov that wasnt too bad. I did not see anything for Jan- March without extra charge. I am hoping as time gets closer they will move things to no charge. I also feel that it was not really fair of them to advertise the changes they made. Grammy

March has always been a tough time to find a room on Skyauction.

I have found rooms at the last minute (1-3 weeks out) for February. Since March can be busy during spring breaks, I doubt that rooms will be released this early. Any that are released will be snatched up quickly, so check back often.

I'd consider paying a few dollars more to lock in plans sooner as long as the price is still better than making a reservation through other means.

I have redeemed 8 certificates lately - 3 new and 5 old. The new system allows for properties that weren't available before. I used rcicertificates.com/redeem for the new ones.

I panicked with the start of the new system and did pay an extra $49.99 one week. Later, a great free option did open up for the week I wanted (figures).

There is significantly more availability with the new system when I compared the new and old inventories.

Wondering if I should take the plunge and purchase 3 weeks. Looking to go to Williamsburg and Orlando Between June and August 2009.

I think its hard to say what will be available then. Vacation from school times seem to be limited availability. Also, do you need 2 bedrooms or can you do with one or a studio? If you need bigger there will probably be an added charge to the $199. It may still be a good buy even with the added charges, but if you dont have flexibility with dates you might have a problem.
