Ok, so I bought a sky auction certificate. Where should we stay??:thumbsup2 We really only need the room for 3 nights, but we might go back and cook a meal and do laundry in it. We are scheduled to stay at OKW for 7 days in a studio.
Thanks for the help!
P>S We paid $197 for a week in a condo. We couldn't find a hotel room for this price.

What are your choices for your time frame? You have to look to see what choice they are giving you. You cannot just say you want such and such. You have to see what is there for you to pick from. I use to like them, but with their inventory during peak season now (only time I can travel for a week) I will no longer use them, I don't care how cheap it is.

OTOH, If you are traveling off season, you can't beat them. I hope you find an option that works for you!

Dec 12-19
Silverlake Resorts Silver Points 1 bedroom
Bryan's Spanish Cove 2 bedroom
Driftwood worldgate resort 1 bedroom
Orbit one vacation villas 2 bedroom
Polynesian Isles
Silverlake resort 2 bedroom
Summer bay resort 2 bedroom
Thanks for your help!

Orbit One is close, smaller, and we liked it a lot. Summerbay is a drive, bigger, more options, and we liked it a lot, too.

I think Silverlake is on the back road to AK, but we've never stayed there.

I like Silver Lake.. take the 2 bedroom, you will have a lot of room.. Silver Lake backs up to Animal Kingdom Lodge. When you exit out the back way, you are on Disney's property in about 2 minutes...:thumbsup2 You must be going off season.. that is a great deal :cool1:

It show two different silver lake resorts are they the same place.
Thanks for everyones help!

same resort, the difference is something to do which building they put you in. I could never figure out the whole thing :confused3
maybe a phone call to the resort can figure it out for you.
always take 2 bedroom over 1 if you have the choice.
we stayed there twice in the 1700 building, very very nice place.:thumbsup2

I want to say the new bldgs toward the back entrance (not the towers near the pool) are the points, Silver Lake Points. The older bldgs is the original, Silver Lake Resort. At least that was how it was when I went. They only had the towers by the pool. I am not sure if they have built more towers or not.

I just have to say, we have been HAPPY with ALL the Sky Auction resorts in Orlando area -- Not so happy outside Orlando.

Sometimes we stay much further away (time wise) than is ideal, but we are often in your situation -- got it b/c a week is cheaper than a night or two in a hotel for our family of 5.

You won't be disappointed! But book quick; the close 2 bedrooms often go fast

I have 2 sky auction certificates that I paid $250 each for. They have to
be booked by 1/16/10 and used by 6/16/10. I need to sell if anyone is interested. We are DVC members and can't use all of this. We have had great success with resorts in Orlando. Email me at sharonmetzger@att.net if interested.
Thanks,
Sharon
