Just got off the phone from Genevieve in the DLP booking office (we know each other very well at this stage :-) )

We're booked for Halloween :cool1:

We have to stay in the disabled/adapted rooms so the only ones left were in the Santa Fe but if they're anything like the other adapted rooms we'll be more than happy!

So two rooms or a large adapted room which sleeps 7 in total so lots of room, for 3 adults & 2 children. 15% discount, free half board and tickets to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on Halloween for €1,477!

It's Wednesday to Saturday but I might book us in on Expedia for the Tuesday night without tickets and fly out on Tuesday afternoon. We did that the last time and it was great as we didn't lose any of our first day travelling.

Thrilled skinny :p :dance3:

Off to make my first ticker in over a year- WOOOHOOOO!!

Whoooo. It is great they are doing a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party again this year. I hope that means they will run more of the Halloween parties like they used to do. Have a great trip.

I am a bit confused - we don't have those parties any more and the OP said "on" Halloween so I'm guessing this is the actual Halloween Soiree??

Anyone shed some light on this?

Oooooooh maybe I have it wrong :confused3:

I booked on the phone and she asked would I like tickets for the "Halloween event on the 31st?"

I said "oh is that the MNSSHP?" And she said "yes it's an extra option an after hours event costing €164 for everyone." So I took it.

They still haven't sent my confirmation email and my reservation number isn't yet recognised on the "my disneyland" tab.

What have I just bought ??

I know we didn't have lots of parties last year, just the one on Halloween (which was very busy, I was there!) I am hoping as the OP has said they have tickets for a MNSSHP they are running more events this year. I would love to know more about this too. The MNSSHP I attended a few years ago was great as it was so quiet. I am hoping to go back for Halloween again this year too, but am waiting for more info about the season before booking.

Always good to have a new ticker :thumbsup2

It does say on your link that it's something 'the whole family will enjoy' so should still be fine for children, it's the one in the Studios that's more adult orientated. I think the problem though is that it gets extremely busy ..... hopefully someone who's been can tell more.

Thanks Elaine :goodvibes the cm knew the ages of my children , 3 & 10 so she'd hardly recommend something unsuitable would she?

I'm just wondering now would it be worth the €164 or would that money be better spent

We went a few years ago, as tickets were discounted for AP holders.

As Elaine said, it was quite busy, because it was confined to Frontierland.

Quite well decorated with Jack Skellington's face projected on Thunder Mountain, lots of smoke, and a couple of devilish characters charging around on stilts.

We went in costume which was fun.

TBH, it wasn't brilliant (particularly as only the Frontierland rides were accessible) , and our youngest struggled with the fact that it went on until 1am.

Thanks Mark, it does sound like fun alright :-)
Oh I don't think we'll be staying till 1am, not with a 3 year old!

I've gotten my email confirmation and it just says "Halloween night at Disneyland Park." Not MNSSHP :-(. Silly me!

It also says included is "pause gourmand" (gourmet break) 1 voucher p/p per day.
What is this? Never heard of it!

Thanks :goodvibes

I'd not heard of it either found reference to it on a trip adviser thread though, from 2013:

"Teatime Treat Pause Gourmande voucher per night stayed which can be used from 3pm in counter service restaurants in the parks for a hot or cold drink and a sweet treat (eg,cake, muffin)."

Might be worth asking for a refund on the Halloween night...I'll be your not the only person whose mistaken it for the MNSSHP.

Oooooh that sounds lovely! Freebies are always welcome but one each for each day will be a super treat :cool1:! That combined with our half board vouchers will save us lots of €€€€€€€'s :thumbsup2.

I think I'll keep the tickets for the Halloween party, ds 10 is looking forward to being there for Halloween so it'd be a pity to have to leave the park when the fun is just starting. My mam is coming too so maybe she could bring the baby back to the hotel and ill stay with the two older ones.

Thanks for all the help, I don't feel like I made a big boo boo anymore (especially with the free cake :cloud9:)

Good idea, suspect ds will love it :thumbsup2

We went to the Halloween Party last year and can only echo what the other poster said - it was busy, very very busy.

I'd say it was 75% teenagers (some in very inappropriate costumes), 10% disney fanatics (hunting out the rare character meets) and 15% families.

The whole park was open but the queues for the rides were insane; we ended up just wondering around and taking in the atmosphere and trying to watch a few of the shows and then left at about 10pm.

We also had our scariest ever Disneyland moment when my Daughter nearly got crushed in a massive scrum that had been formed to meet Mike & Sully - luckily a nice man lifted her to safety before any real damage could be done.

Looking back now and knowing what I know, I think I would still go back again another time - but I'd be better prepared!

I hope you have an amazing trip - Halloween is a brilliant time of year to visit!

Aw thanks happy :goodvibes

That's a good enough report for me :thumbsup2

It will be our first time going at Halloween so we are really looking forward to the whole trip not just the party :cool1:
