Skorts at dinner?

Anyone know if skorts are ok in the dining room for dinner on casual nights?

If it is the type that looks just like a short skirt I don't see why not.

There was everything from people in shorts and sneakers to people in evening gowns at dinner every night. Skorts would fit right into the wide spectrum that is present at every meal.

skorts are actually shorts that look like a skirt from the front. very comfy but not actually a skirt.

Not true in every case, I have several that look exactly like a skirt front AND back.

However, I think it's a judgement call... are they dressy enough (flowy silk or rayon) or are they denim/khaki material? Utlimatly, it's going to boil down to what YOU are comfortable wearing.

I wore a skort for several nights at dinner, the same one actually. It was the only clothing I had besides jeans since we did not get our luggage for three days!

Our servers were shocked when we showed up Tuesday night in different clothes.

Bottom line is that you can wear whatever you want. THe attire is "suggested," not "strictly enforced." For dinner, even on casual nights, they'd like you to be a step up from shorts and t shirts....a skort would be fine. Be comfortable and have fun!

The only type of skort i'd be concerned with look like shorts from the back. Nobody but me would know i was actually wearing shorts if it looked like a skirt front and back. I guess i'll give it a try and see if i get any funny looks. Not gonna sweat it. Thanks for everyone's input!

In case anyone really wants to know , I believe the type of mini skirt with shorts underneath (not visible) is called a "scooter". Or at least they are when I buy them for my DDs!
