Skipping Splash Stairs?

Background... my mom had knee replacement surgery in February. Rehab has been great and she's doing well. However, knee number 2 isn't scheduled until early next year, so stairs are still quite difficult for her. She won't be using a scooter or wheelchair, but will have a cane. Does it require a DAS to skip the stairs on SM? or can we ask nicely when we arrive? I have a FP+ scheduled, so I'm not expecting any problem having the rest of our group walk the regular way and still meet up fairly quickly. I just don't want to trouble a CM for a DAS for a single ride.

:-)

if you go to GR and ask for a DAS because of a mobility issue they will tell you to use a wheel chair you can tell the people that your mom dose not do stairs at the attraction and they will give her an alternative

We had an ordinary FP but because I was in a scooter I parked up at the foot of the exit and went in the exit. There is a slope, but no steps.

There is a split at the bottom of the stairs where you will be directed to the accessible entrance. As noted this is through the exit and it can get backed up because only a few can enter at a time. You may not be able to meet up with others going through the standby or FP+ queues, so rather than sending her through alone I suggest staying together unless you are a large party.
Enjoy your vacation.
