Skipping FastPasses in MK during day, and using in Epcot that evening

We're on a limited schedule - 4 days in parks, no breaks in between - and with kids 4 and 6, our main priorities are MK, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios (for our star wars obsessed 6 year old). First, maybe only trip.

That said, we are vising Epcot one late afternoon/evening for an Askershus dinner (and maybe a second afternoon/evening if we love it / feel up to it while the MNSSHP is going on). I doubt by the time we got there, there would be any fastpasses for Soaring

I'm wondering if it makes sense to load all the bigger fastpasses on the second MK day - SDMT, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh - and have the first MK day be without fastpasses - riding the less popular rides without lines (or the more popular rides before 10:30). That way we could reserve fastpasses for Soaring and Mission Space for the evening while we are there eating dinner. I doubt we'll have the energy/desire to wait in long lines in Epcot after a day at MK.

Does that make sense? And would you be willing to sacrifice all 3 of your MK fastpasses that day (plus the opportunity to get additional fast passes in MK that afternoon??) in exchange for Epcot evening fastpasses?

I would be willing to sacrifice them if I knew we were going to visit MK the next day. :) If you do still want to ride some of the headliners, I would make sure you are there at MK rope drop.

If you can do rope drop for sure I would definitely do it. Last week I did Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Little Mermaid, Its A Small World, Haunted Mansion and Splash all within the first two hours.

We did something similar with HS and AK last week. We went to AK for RD then went to HS in the afternoon where we had our FPs waiting for us!

We have done this same senario the last trip. We hit MK 1st thing in the AM, early as possible. Went right to 7dwarves, then Space Mountain x2, then all of the other Tomorrowland attractions. Then some of the other attractions that have little to no wait in Fantasyland ( It's a small world, Philharmagic, Winnie the Pooh) then off to Pirates and we were done for our MK day.

EPCOT at night, we did Soarin FP+, character meet and greet and Spaceship Earth. We did TT single rider and there were little to no lines for Living with the Land, Nemo and Ellen's.

We did this one trip and I didn't like it because of the tiers. Honestly, it was frustrating to give up 3 good FP at MK for only one good FP at Epcot.

I did this last year during Spring Break. We had Park Hoppers, so we did AK in the morning on our first day, then did MK with FP at night. The next day we did MK at Rope Drop, and hit DHS in the afternoon with FP.
