Skippers Canteen or Sci Fi??

My girlfriend and I could do Skippers Canteen ( with no ADR ) Fri night Jan 29 or keep our ADR at Sci Fi drive in on Sunday the 31st for lunch. Which is the better use of our last table service ? ( we have the standard dining plan )

They are very different kinds of food.

Have you looked at SC's menu? If that food appeals to you and you don't mind walking up, try SC since you can get Sci-Fi's kind of items elsewhere.

If you are already in/around DHS and want good food with a fun atmosphere, choose Sci-Fi.

Very difficult to make a recommendation here since Skippers is so new. The few reviews have been all over the place with some loving it and others bemoaning the "different" menu. Sci Fi is consistent. Good (not great) food and a fun atmosphere.

I've never had Sci-Fi, but I had SC the week it opened. We've both traveled extensively and have palettes that are open to anything. DW had the pho and I had the Mac & Cheese, Egyptian style (gotta share with a 1 year old!). Both were so salty they were almost inedible. Now, I'd hope it was an accident but I can't wrap my head around just how salty they both were. We'll be back in the World come summer but I don't think we'll do SC for a few years because of how salty the food was.

If you have never been I think that Sci Fi is a great experience. I have not been to SC, but the reviews have been all over the place. I also think your counter service options at MK would be better than HS if that is your alternative.

I agree with senadler, I'd much rather do QS or snacks at MK than HS. Though I can curious about Skipper Canteen.

I would probably hold onto your Sci Fi res until your MK day anyway and just cancel if you decide to eat at Skipper Canteen that day since you are still ahead of the cancellation deadline. You don't always know how you feel until the time comes so this gives you a bit of wiggle room.

Honestly, the pricing at Sci-Fi is not bad, just a little more than some QS. I would pay OOP for Sci-Fi and use TS at Skippers if that cuisine piques your interest.
