We had a wonderful day yesterday :cheer2: My dh & I went to the Brookfield zoo near Chicago, about an hour away from us. Got there right at opening and it was almost empty for an hour or two. Temperature was in the 70s. An almost perfect time. By the time we left it was crowded and people were still coming in yet we had done all we wanted to do. Kinda of like going to early morning at wdw.

On the way home, we stopped at Trader Joe's - love going there but too far to go regularly.

Today - finishing the redo on the grant report that I complained about during the week.

Hope the rest of you had a good Saturday. Sorry you had to work Kaylajr.

Yesterday was great. We don't have any children but my 16 year old brother is visiting so I wasn't sure how well we would deal with a teen in the house but it has been going great although we get 3 more sometime today and while one is my brothers best friend the others are his brothers and the 3 of them don't get along well. It will be a learning experience but I am looking forward to dropping them off at camp on Monday afternoon.

Vanyel- Good luck with that report.

Good Morning!

Nothing big here today, just working on some scrapbooking stuff and I have to get some stuff ready for a meeting on Tuesday.

Relax, everybody and have a great day. :cool1:

I was up at 3:30am yesterday morning, my FIL and I were watching the weather to see if it would rain out our yardsale. DH was up around 5am with us, the rain finally went away around 6:30 and so my neighbors and I decided to go for it! There were only a few sprinkles at times, but we had a pretty good turnout. Extra cash is always good! We'll have a community-wide sale this fall, so today I have to pack away the things that didn't sell.

On the bright side, I made rice krispie treats and chocolate chip cookies to sell at the yard sale, and though the treats sold out (I sold 17 of them to one woman), we have a few cookies left so I guess I'll be forced to indulge in them before they get stale! :thumbsup2

I worked on some swap stuff yesterday afternoon, but other than that, it was a pretty relaxing day (translation: I didn't do ANYTHING! ;) )

Today, we are going to exercise, come home & get ready, and then go meet my brother and his fiancee for lunch. After that, it'll be back home to work on some swap stuff!!

Everyone have a very relaxing day! :thumbsup2

We didn't do too much yesterday. Did a little shopping. Watched a little TV. Made my card entry for the card contest at the scrapbook convention in Valley Forge. Started the Holiday swap.

I don't know what's in store for today. Looks like most of our rain is gone. It will probably be hot and humid (again), so maybe we'll go swimming.

Have a great day, everyone! :sunny:

Yesterday, I did nothing... it was my day so I didn't have too..
Today we are going to the county fair this afternoon and than back this evening for the fireworks.. Yeah!!! :)
Otherwise today I'm going to work on swap items... Yeah!!!
Ok, off to get started on my day!! DH is off to Lowes to check pricing on some things...
Have a great day everyone!!!

Yesterday was my yard sale and we made a killing. One of the ladies at my office is also moving next month so she brought a couple things over. She sold almost everything too and is thinking of having one at her house in two weekends. If she does that then I may take my last items over there. I'll have to see. I can see where this yard sale stuff is addicting. I loved it and all the money we made is great.

Other than that we took my brother to dinner for all his help and went to bed early. My dad visited today and now we are still exhausted so it will be early to bed.

It was a wonderful weekend without the 100 plus weather and 115 heat index!

I took it easy this weekend--did some odds and ends. We went to the neighbors for a bbq last night and we could sit outside--it was even a bit chilly at the end! :thumbsup2
