I used to ski. I'm not sure if I'll ever ski again because of my knee. I was an intermediate. My school has a program, between that, my parents saying how they used to ski, and my BFF always going skiing, I gave it a try. I've been skiing for 5 years, but I'm a wimp, don't go fast, and don't do anything more than single intermediate slopes. We're surrounded by ski mountains in the Poconos, but the best place I've ever skiied was Killington, Vermont. You could see into Canada.
Worst injury was my 1st year and I wasn't ready for the top of the mountain. My BFF and her bro took me up. It was icy, I lost control and went really fast. I ended up flipping, losing my skis right in the elbow of the slope. I got snow-mobiled down as I was still concious. I did hve the choice for the body bag though. I blacked out for about 3 seconds and had burns from the ice all over the right side of my face. My goggles rubbed my eye so bad I had red marks and burns all over and near my eye. My right side of my face was so swollen, red, and bruised it was droopy. The left side was tight and the right looked like I was 200 years old my skin was so droopy.
The EMTS said if I hadn't had goggles my poles would've poked my eyes and if I hadn't had a helmet I would've had a pretty bad concussion.

ive always wanted to go snowboarding but never really got around to it... it looks soo fun!... god i need to get myself up to the poconos sometime haha

welll. i ski and snowboard. i've skiied(?) since i was three, and i started snowboarding last year. im a beginner snowboarder and an intermediate skiier. lets see learning this year i bruised my tailbone my mother resort is Big Boulder in the Poconos. i love that place!

no our school doesnt but the local resot has a fourth graders free program all you have to do is bring in your report card.

i love it though, i go every weekend during the season!

I snowboard I just started this year and its so fun! I havent gotten and serious injuries.

Anyone here ever gone/regularly skis and/or snowboards? Every winter. It's hard not to when you live in the skiing/snowboarding capital of NH. I've got 9 top notch spots to snowboard all within a 1 hour drive of my house.
Ski or Snowboard? Snowboard.
Level? Downhill (ie: "Boardercross"): Advanced. Park (ie: Terrain): Beginner. I'm not a fan of the parks, I really love racing, though.
Best resort you've gone? Tie between Bretton Woods and Attitash. I haven't hit Tuck's yet just because that's waaaaay advanced, like triple black diamond.
Get any injuries? A mild concussion from catching an edge on a patch of ice and hitting my head rather hard.
Does your school have a program? Elementary and Jr. high had one, but then I moved to said ski capital of NH and now it's a given that most people learn on their own. We have a ski team though, nordic, x-c, and jumping. We've been the state champions in nordic for the past 8 years or so. X-C we're good, and I think we won this year, but not as good as the nordic squad, and the jumping team just started this year, so you gotta give 'em a little slack. We don't have a snowboarding team, though, only because there's nobody to coach us.

Just to add, next year I'll be carving my way into my 9th year on a board.
