I'm a newbie here so forgive the stupid question, but can someone tell me what a Sizzix is? I saw that there is a certain machine to buy as well as the Sizzlets. What exactly are they?

A Sizzix is a die cut machine. You put whatever shape die in wkith the paper and pull the handle down and it "punches" it out for you. I think there's a video on the home page- www.sizzix.com.
You can also get a converter thing that lets you do impressions without cutting all the way through.
The sizzlets are smaller sized alphabets.

You can buy them at some craft stores, we have Micheal's in my area and they have 40% off coupons on a regular bases. I think AC Moore may have them and some JoAnn's too.
The other personal diecut 'machine' is Quick Kuts, which is also pretty neat.

I'm new to scrapbooking and having a blast!!!! Just wondering how much does one of these machines cost? and is it worth it?

I *think* the machine is $89, but everyone buys them with coupons! I think the ABC sets are around the same, or more (depends on the set) but again, they go on sale.

I have a Quick Kuts and like it (another system), but am saving for the sizzix right now. So I think they are worth it!

I get a lot of value from the QK I have because I use it to make swap items, which is a great way to justify spending some money on a new shape!
