sizing question

I'm sure there are more deals to be found if I knew if girls size 12 was equivalent to a junior size.

Juniors sizes are odd numbers (as opposed to women's, which are even), I would think that a girls size 12/14 would equate to a 0/1 in juniors (or XS). Someone else is welcome to chime in, but that's what makes logical sense to me.

I'm happy that dd13 and dd14 can't really fit in juniors yet, because of the price increase (they're not happy). Same with the shoes!

I would say 00. But really depends on the brand.

Junior sizes are tailored to the body type of teen girls - longer limbs and torso, narrow through the hips. A girl's size generally has shorter lengths in pants, sleeves and tops, when the waist and hip measurements are the same. They aren't interchangeable in a lot of cases, but you might be able to get away when sizes are labeled XS,S,M,L,XL instead of the numbered sizes.

Dd14 is very small. Most stores now carry 0's and 00's. Aero even carries 000's ,which is the only brand she was able to fit in for a while. Finally had a growth spurt and can now fit into 00's and 0's depending on the brand. Aero was a lifesaver for us as she did not want the kids clothes.

My 10 year old daughter is a size XS women's or a 00 at Aero. She is 5'7" tall and the pants are the hardest things to buy. Sizes which are long enough are built for a girl/women who has curves. At 10 years old, she is still a little girl trying to fit into adult sizes. We have been lucky that Aero works and she even fits into Holister XS clothes now too as well as Victoria Secret's "Pink" leggings. Like others have said, each brand will be different, so it may take some shopping around.

Did will be 15 in a couple of weeks, 5'1" hopefully, 85 pounds. It's so hard to find jeans! All the PINK leggings were too big.
