size of tent sites

We are planning a vacation for October 2007 and will probably request a site in loop 1500. We have a huge tent (12 x 14) and would like to bring a smaller tent for storage also. We also have a sun shelter to put up over our picnic table. Can we fit all of this on the site?

Yes - but be sure to let them know when you make the reservation. There are some sites that are too small for all of that.

On our last trip, we had 2 tents and a screen tent. We got a site in the 1500 loop that we couldn't fit on -- so we called the front desk, and they gave us another site in a different loop that was much better.

Notice how the grill, the power pole, and a tree are all right in the middle of the sand. The 1500 loop is known for those problems.

While the 1500 loop is in a great location and all of the sites are very close to a comfort station, the 2000 loop has solved the site problems by placing the power pole off of the sand, and creating a little square on the left side of each site where the grill and the picnic table can sit.

Site 1503 is a good size, and site 1517 is a good size.

The site pictured looks like it might be 1504 cause of the path in front which is probably to the comfort station. 1506 is configured similar and has a tree and the power station in a really bad spot also.
