Size of moderate rooms - do you like them ?

Moderate resort rooms seem to be 314 square feet.
I am trying to figure our how large each piece of funiture is in the moderate room.

I used graph paper and came up with a diagram of 13' by 24 ' (312 sq ft)
for a moderate room.

I made the beds to be 6' by 6' (double size).
The tub/toilet area to be 7' by 6'.
The bathroom sink/counter to be 5' by 2'.
The closet area to be 2' by 6'.
The dresser/tv cabinet to be 4' by 2'.
I allowed the table and each of the 2 chairs each to take up 2' by 2' area.

How accurate are my above measurements ?

We are considering POFQ or CSR - bith 314 sq ft.

Thanks to any engineer minded people on this site. :goodvibes

We were two adults and two kids when we stayed at CSR. Frankly, by the end of the week we were feeling pretty cramped. I don't know the size of the furniture but the room as a whole is pretty small. We're staying at GF next month as we want more space.

But I suck it up. I would LOVE it if they put queens in the mods.
At least ONE queen with the double would be fine.
*sigh*

Everything else about a mod is fine.

This might be helpful: when comparing WL or AKL std rooms these rooms are not much larger than a moderate at 344 sq. CBR is 340 and the other mods are 315. Even the BC rooms are 380. The larger rooms are at the older resorts, Poly, CBR and GF.

We had always stayed at Poly or CR, so the first time we stayed at CBR the room did seem small, but then after staying at POR and FQ, went back to CBR and the room did not seem larger, even though I knew it was by a few feet.

We had a rollaway between the bed and door at CBR and at FQ and both fit fine - worked out great both times, with 3 adults in the room, no children.

Disney did do a great job with mods: CBR feels like a vacation with in a vacation :)

You are correct the monorail hotels have the larger rooms.

I am definitely a "moderate" person, having stayed at at all but one, with POR as my "home" resort. While I would definitely love having a balcony, it has never been a problem. Last year, staying in POR in AB, I guess mousekeeping noticed that I was having my morning coffee outside my room (leaning on the walkway railing, enjoying the views), and one morning, a table and chair was left outside my room in the little walkway nook. From then on, I sat outside and *really* enjoyed my mornings at POR. While I have checked out the deluxe resports, I can't really find one to compare to ambience of POR that would be worth the extra money.
