Six Flags vs. Knotts

I was debating between Six Flags and Knotts for our family of five, all old and tall enough for rides. Six Flags seemed like the best bet for us, but I looked at hours during our trip to the area, Sept. 28 - Oct. 3. They are only open on weekends? Our Sunday and Friday are reserved for Disneyland. Could this be a mistake on the website?

Thanks!

Six Flags has the best ride ever. It's called Tatsu and it's like flying! The coasters at Knott's are pretty good too. There are just less, and slightly less good, but way closer. The drive to Six Flags was unfun. It took us an hour and a half last year with construction and traffic... We're going to Knott's only this time (gas prices, you know) and I'm sure the kids (14, 13, 11, 36, 59) Will have plenty of fun, and we may even have time to go to the outlet mall afterwards and get to bed at a decent time. :faint:

I'd go to Six Flags MM instead of Knott's, and I live 10 minutes away from Knott's lol. SFMM rides are waaaay better than Knott's, especially the new X2 ride. Tatsu is amazing as well, and yes you fly :P

If you go to Knott's, you can probably go through the whole park within only a few hours. It's a small park.

Its also good to note that 6F has a "rougher" crowd than Knotts. I personally would not bring a kid to 6F these days with the number of gangs that hang out there.

Don't know when's the most recent time you went to Six Flags, but the number of gangs that go there have decreased..

Don't get me wrong, the rides at SF blow knotts out of the water. But more than 1 gang is too many in my book. Heck 1 gang is too many in my book. It just means more chance for conflict/problems happening. Maybe I've been lucky but the worst I've ever seen at DL is a couple of rowdy college kids who think DL is a frat party.

edit - also most recent was 1.5 years ago. My brother still lives down there and has a season pass and also gets the same feeling I had.
